Finally I removed the 2x4 that was holding my passenger side seat up. I got a nice thick piece of galvanized steel that fit almost the whole floor area of the passenger side. I ground out the rust. Painted it, and drilled all the bolt holes in the new steel, glued it, bolted it, put the seat...
Im running a mix of Holy oil and diesel. The Its Holy oil because the priest said grace before the chuch fish fry and chicken dinner. Im filtering down to 5 microns and pouring the stuff right in the tank in the summer. I have been doing this now for 2YEARS with minor problems. I have had to...
Thats the first repair I needed help with and joined SS... there are plenty of threads on power steering bracket. I bought a new one from the chevy dealer for $16 bucks I think. Also you will need a power steering pulley puller...I got one at Harbor freight.... You can do it! Search the threads.
Tires are designed and built to rot. I got my little old lady aunt's oldsmobile with 7000 miles on it. 11 years old...Good year tires 1/2 inch of tread cracks all in the sidewalls from dry rot. I replaced all the tires. The American way is called "Built in obsolescence" Build it to bust...
joho Did you LOOK down the oil fill tube or REMOVE the tube assembly to view the timing gear>>> Because I read your post and I thought you said "looking in the oil fill tube hole"
You have to remove the tube off the engine...then look. Im not trying to be a smart ass, im a little...
Just got my webb 525 fuel filter/heater/ water separator...It is going where my battery tray was. I might even install an electric fuel pump next to it.
I think it is the fuel line letting in air. I found a little 3 inch rubber connecting hose in my fuel line as it was coming up the frame to the pump. I dont know why it is there but what if it had a crack in it and was sucking air into the system. If you are bleeding air out of the top of your...
Dog head said it stuinnh... I have to agree that the "fuel pressure" has nothing to do with your truck not starting due to "fuel pressure" .... It only collects data for a plug in STE-ICE computer. BUUUUT when it goes bad like mine did it lets AIR get into the fuel system. Its not lack of...
If its "Y"shaped you might have one of the special equipped flux capacitors that allows the cucv to time travel back to the 1980s when your truck was new...Mine is disconnected.... Ok just kidding.
My guess is that he might be talking about the starter relay but that has 4 wires and one is purple.
I got a sharpie and marked the battery cables + and - so that I wouldn't mess anything up... but it didn't help, I turned the batteries a couple of times to get the best fit and of course the cable I grabbed I touched it to the wrong pole and got a big spark! I am so glad I didnt cook anything...
Im thinking just 2 Optima batteries are sufficient... I have one Optima and a regular 800 cca small battery installed. Im planning on getting another Optima,
Sorry about the bad pic...but as you can see I moved both batteries to the mount closest to the firewall. They dont quit fit but they seem to be pretty secure.
Well I took those big batteries out a couple of years ago and put civilian car batteries in....Recently one of my batteries went bad and while I was messing around I decided to put both batteries on one tray to make some extra room for maybe a veggie oil fuel heater water separator...or...
