Its amazing how many of those 'honey points' get earned when the lights go out, the the miss's is wanting a cup of coffee, and here comes a clunky ol piece of green iron to make her day that turns into a week.
This one is only used for parts, but I use my other one for battery charger, booster when its cold, ground hop so I dont have to hump batteries around to exercise genny's.
brother uses them in MT for aircraft apu's
I agree, at least some kind of... if this happens, do this.
I am very glad it happened to us in that truck rather than my wife's new Subaru, and those are supposed to be one of the safest cars. I am so thankful that we had big iron to absorb the energy from the other car.
I only have lap...
I am not doing anything until insurance says something. Even set up a tow truck to come get it to get a 'not me' estimate, just waiting for directive from insurance.
Had time to get a closer look at damages, hit so hard it broke the transfer shift rod and the torque rods tagged each other enough to take the paint off.
Truck wont build more than 80 lbs of air, so havent chased down any broken air lines yet.
I am speculating here, but I think i jerked the wheel back right to straighten up and locked up the brakes and skidded the rear, to the left. then he tagged me and got me sideways in the road. I didnt see any skid marks that moved me sideways, but you can see where i left a trail of oil and...
I was almost slowed to turn, I think I started my turn, looked in the mirror and saw him start around me, then straightened out, I think.
I dont know why they would attempt to pass in a no passing zone. That is a 70 mph zone so yes, high speed.
Slowing from highway speed to turn on dirt road, and got tagged pretty hard.
So now we have a broke truck. Will start making insurance calls in the morning after the adrenaline wears off.
Here are some set and forget systems, that are near your budget, even come with a connect box on some of them, none were diesels though.

oh, so it would look like my yard then, so far I have only resurrected 2ea 701's, 2ea 805B's, 1ea 804a, 1 ea 005, still have 1 805b and a 952 that didnt make it.
another thing I will suggest about the JD motors, the rubber washers that go on the metal fuel line connectors, get enough of those to do the whole motor, not so much the injector to injector lines, but line at IP pump and the metal line for the filter to IP pump. I think a whole set is about $15.
I have an 805b that had loose wires on one of the tb's that went to the master switch, check those. almost sounds like a starter relay, i think it is different than the other relays, might check the parts manual, make sure some army mechanic wasnt monkey'ing around with relays.
