I can have little brother go knock on a door Another thing to take into consideration, it is FIRE SEASON with lots of fires in Montana.

    Half shaft question--spacing visible

Also check that the lockwasher is on the bolt. If the bolt was too short or the half shaft came out far enough to drop the lock washer off, then it would be floating around in the geared hub.

    MEP804A--Anyone have one of these?

I had baler wire, alignment punches and a borescope to see, and I will pass on that, then add night tactical, and I am like.... it will wait til light.

    MEP804A--Anyone have one of these?

I was told that the leads that are bonded are set in the plastic resin, and the resin would have to be broken to unbond them, then reresin them after you pull the negative leads out. I only know b/c I had to remotor my 804a and it would been so easy to pull the head at the same time. I did...

    MEP804A--Anyone have one of these?

just pull 2 legs of single phase out of the 3 phase, you will have 10kw worth of power, if you are concerned about 'imbalance' just hook up a 1500w halagon light set to the other leg to balance. the way it was designed by the army lasts a long long time if properly exercised and maintained...

    6v53 vs 8v71

Oh the over the road trucks didnt call it a 6-53, they called it a 318, or 8-71 was 568. That is the displacement. 6 cylinders 53 cubic inches per cylinder

    6v53 vs 8v71

Both are good motors, same design. The 6-53 was the go to motor in the 60's when the diesels were taking over the over the road market. They are both loud because they are 2 strokes. They will use oil and leak it, slobber it but thats just a 2 stroke. If those are the only 2 choices, just...

Aqua Chem WTA-060 Water purification trailer

I know of 2 cow truck washouts that use the exact same motor and 3 piston pump that I have on my little ROWPU, and the oil field uses the same type of pump and motors on alot of the mud mixers, dont know if its exactly the same.

3kW 28V external auxiliary power unit from an Abrams

Well, if you have any other equipment that uses 24v, then you have a jumpstarter, or a battery charger, or a run/diagnose without having to put batteries in it, or to make little boys ask questions. mine isnt the 3k described here, but a 4 duece is the same thing, apu.

    Generator/TM list?

I second that, because i was guilty of not paying attention to detail. The book said 1.5-2.0 ohms, i set it to 15-20 ohms, yeah it didn't work

    Generator/TM list?

I wonder, what percentage of duds we have gotten in our GL purchase. Not even going to ask how much was spend on said dud. I can say I have had 1 dud out of 50 invoices (not items, invoices) and 7 years of buying. I dont classify misadvertised purchases, ie. says its window for 5t but its a...

    no power 804b

in our country out here, there are lots of rotophases that convert single to 3ph, I have always wondered if they would work backwards, and how efficient they would be if they would work backwards.

    no power 804b

. That can NOT be done with an 804, 805, or 806, reason being, those genny's are only 10 wires from the generator head, 12 wires is required for the zig zag. I am not yelling, just dont want to see good equipment let the smoke out.

    no power 804b

I would not be overly concerned about the imbalance, if you are concerned then just rotate your load leads every few hours, days. or look at those halogen shop lights on a stand, they pull about 1300 watts for the pair, just hook that up to the unused terminal. If you havent read this, this is...

    MEP Sizing Help

I thought he was talking about maintenance, service, and load testing, not producing power for consumption. When I am load testing/troubleshooting, I always bond N and Ground, and then ground the genny and the trailer to the outside ground. If I am load testing, then the load tester gets a...

    MEP Sizing Help

I dont use my shop electrical ground, I have a dedicated grounding rod outside the shop just for generators. The reason being I wont use my shop ground is, if by chance something goes fubu and a 805B throws 300 amps of power the wrong place, then my whole shop gets 300 amps of power thru all...
