I can make the plug with 1/8 inch steel and my plasma cutter or maybe I should just go sloppy with a square 4’x4’ steel panel of cold roll, like I did on my M1165. I have square 1/8 Aluminum sheet for several of my flying nun roof M1151 slantbacks.

Remember that if too much oil begins to leak, the engine will use that oil as fuel and you can get a runaway engine. Fixing the problem by replacing the cartridge is prudent.
Spinning and digging can snap your half shafts when they finally engage the ground. I’m not saying it doesn’t work and I am not passing judgment.
Also, never go from reverse to drive to reverse to drive without letting all the wheels completely stop. You will crack your half shafts otherwise...
