Thanks! I will keep searching. I have a bad hip and that jack is perfect for lifting the tongue on my 101 trailers, they are just a bit too much for me, and downright necessary on the 105... I will. post a photo this afternoon.
I need another M105A3 jack, the one that stows on the fender and is used to lift or stabilize the trailer (NOT the nose wheel/landing gear). Where can I find one?
I had to pay $800 for mine with civie lights and bad tires, and drove three hours to get it! I love it! And got the hang of it behind the M1009 very quickly...
I found one on my hard drive
About 10" of chain through the grab handle and around the door handle, secured with a lock. Crude, effective and totally "milspec"
First Aide Kit, shop towels, the padlock and chain I use to secure the door when parked, my POV keys, cigars and whatever else I don't want to get wet or dirty... that goes for both Deuces, they both have box seats
I have 33's on mine and I never take her over 65 (60 indicated) bare assed, or 60 (55 indicated) with M101A2 trailer following, she is retired and I am in no hurry, and there are no roads in my daily commute with a limit over 65 anyway:)
Most of the trip was at night... saved me
The pink was not faded Avroe, unless Avroe fades in areas protected from the sun, like inside the door jambs and under the hood...
I DID show it that way once before it got painted:
No worries, I think the Army didn't have enough white and red paint so they mixed them Operation Petticoat style. Yes she is "Pinky" in name only now, see above photo...
The Rustoleum camouflage tan is a MUCH closer match to CARC tan (at least the version that is on my M101A2), it is still too khaki but is much closer.
Here is a krappy cell phone photo, the center of the wheel is Army CARC, the outer half is Rustoleum from a spray can, it looks like a better...
While it is true I did bring home a pink CUCV, she was never THAT ugly even on her ugliest day! (which I think was the day her GL photos were taken...)
It's 4500# and over for an inspection (you are only the third person I have encountered that knew rhat!), and that is why my M105A3 is getting Texas Former MV registration, no inspection!
