Here are some photos, I finally remembered to shoot some in the 3 minutes each weekday that I am outside and it is daylight! Magnets, nuts and bolts. Makes it easy to move the plate around to keep it from being damaged. I have the plate on my M1009 the same way, still trying to figure out a...
Pull the drive shafts, plug the rear of the transfer case, and pull! GM states that short flat tows of 30 miles or so are OK with everything in neutral but for longer tows the drive shafts should be disconnected (pulled or just disconnected at the U joints)
No sirens and the word POLICE can not be on the vehicle by Texas law, and no lights visible to the front that are not white or amber, red or amber to the rear. Check your local laws, your actual mileage may vary...
My M1009 was with a maintenance unit with the Illinois National Guard, and a MP unit before that
My M35A2 was with the 32nd Medical Brigade at Ft. Sam Houston (the Army's Med School)
My M109A3 was with the Texas Army National Guard, 949th Maint, Company C Heavy Maint at Mueller Airport in Austin...

BTW: I think the photo above of the...
That 110 pickup sounds like the perfect MV enthusiast's shop truck, those things are as rare as hen's teeth around here. Good score on the Lightweight too! I have been Jonesing for a foreign MV, but my budget is thin:( I will have to be happy with my EX-MOD radios and maybe a Sankey trailer.
Yes, in some states (including Texas) a trailer must have it's own plate, registration cost is figured by GVW of the trailer. It cost me $47 to register my M101A2 for one year, based on the GVW stated on the data plate (which shows the off road capacity of 1500lb). Texas requires ALL trailers to...
I know the trackie thingies and the swimmie thingies will be everyone favorites here... but the Lightweight FFR with pickup tow vehicle are what caught my eye!
AND... if you know it is going to get nasty overnight and you have to drive in the morning, lock in your hubs before you go to bed, it is real hard to turn those things when they are covered in ice!
