2020 Desert Storm Memorial Day Parade. 25 May 2020
We have been asked to bring military vehicles to the Washington, D.C. Memorial Day Parade. This is the one that goes right down Pennsylvania Avenue.
We are attached to the Desert Storm unit of the parade. You do not need to be a Desert Storm...
The heat coming out of mine is noticeable, but not ridiculous. The heat output is half of what the BTU rating is on unit, ie, a 36,000 BTU unit puts out 36,000 BTU AC, 18,000 BTU heat. My units will have the motor pool at temp in around an hour. Have you checked the air filter? It could be...
You may want to consider staying with a stock cucv charging system. The 200 amp alternator puts out 200 amps 24 V, DC. Last time I checked, the 12V DC output on it was only around 40 amps. On my cucv, I have dual 60 amp alternators that have run all my accessories without issue, most notably my...
Does anyone know the wire number for the horn where it plugs into the light switch? I was half asleep last night when I was wiring my backup lights and tapped into 40 instead, which is the panel lights.
I bought one of these from the same auction. Be sure to inspect them in person when you pick it up. My AC unit was shot twice, one of them being a 50 cal. I had a broker pick it up, wish I had done it myself so I could have refused it on site instead of now having to deal with the ironclad...
These brass fittings are high pressure rated. The PSI supplied to the winch is less than the PS Pump puts out. The hose it takes the place of is the one that runs from the steering gear box to the hydrobooster.
I have always wanted a rear winch on this HMMWV because I use it as a work vehicle around the farm, hauling branches, trees, etc. and a rear winch cable would be very useful.
I was lucky to pick up a front milemarker winch for very cheap near me. I wanted to be somewhat military correct when I...
Interesting ingenuity. Would be useful for if you do not have the tool but absolutely need to install a nutsert. Since it is the outside of the vehicle you should use grade 8 nutserts and bolts.
I installed this Pioneer Kit in my M1009. Robbed the tools from my HMMWV kit that I don't use any more. Came brand new in the box and was originally designed for a m35. Bolted in and I think it looks stock.
Here's pictures of mine. The TM diagram is the most useful. Because I have a 33" on the spare I have to push the tire into the seat in order to close the tailgate.
