Charging system upgrade for the Deuce

I followed a post by SEToyota that detailed how to fab your own bracket and install a Delco 21si. I ordered one and installed it. Easy swap and it is working great so far. https://www.steelsoldiers.com/threads/modern-24-volt-alternator-install.177577/

    New Deuce owner in AL

Fortunately for me, a previous owner already installed a spring seat on the passenger side of mine. It is more comfortable but limits the number of passengers to one. I want to come up with a middle seat somehow, perhaps a jump seat of some kind. Having spousal approval makes a huge difference.

    New Deuce owner in AL

Took the new Deuce on a nice slow Sunday drive today. It met the approval of my wife and kids, with a big thumbs up from my 6 year old son. I found a loose (burned) wire on the generator and reattached it. Strangely the voltmeter never left the green. I will have to investigate further. So far...

I think the Air Force wins the biggest truck award...

Would I need a CDL to drive it? Would triple overdrive get the mileage up to 3mpg? Seriously, though.. what did the Air Force haul with that beast? Its awesome!
