Not to confuse the issue at hand, but do you have a way to check your timing? I had a similar problem on an 84 Oldsmobile on my way back home from TX once, and the cause was my timing gear missing several teeth. Good luck to you, hope you make it home safely.

    Deuce Priciing????

I agree that Deuces for sale are getting more scarce. That was the main reason that I went ahead and bought mine this past March instead of waiting for a better truck/deal. Here in Alabama and surrounding states I see asking prices of 5K and up in good running condition. Of course prices depend...

Steel Soldiers MV of the month 2020 - June VOTE HERE

A few more pics of my M35A2. She's not perfect, but to me she represents all of the brave souls who have fought and who still fight for our freedom. There are many great candidates for MVOTM this time. Best of luck to you all!

    Hello

Hi, Michael and welcome to the forum. Here is a good thread to read when purchasing your first Deuce https://www.steelsoldiers.com/threads/so-you-want-to-buy-a-deuce.128479/ I'm new to this hobby too, I purchased my first Deuce in March of this year. You're in the right place for advice. Good...

Hope this helps. Also, I cant guarantee this is correct, since I am new to Deuces. But my starter works great.

I'll nominate my 72 M35A2. Because there should be at least one Deuce.

    Favorite noise your deuce makes

My favorite sound is the low air buzzer :p. Seriously though I agree that the exhaust note when cruising under load is awesome and makes me smile. The best sound to me is when the engine roars to life immediately after pressing the start button.

Inherited deuce, looking for some help with identification

Greetings and welcome to the forum from Alabama! I'm sorry for your family's loss. Congratulations, however on the truck it looks to be in good shape. The brake pedal on my 72 deuce is stiff, but it stops easily without much force applied. You shouldn't have to "stand on it". I'm sure that more...

    Too Many Deuces?

    Greetings from Greece!

That's awesome! It's good to have a job with "perks". I don't believe ownership is a requirement here, just a love for military vehicles. There are lots of great people on this site, and I'm sure you'll enjoy being a member. Again, welcome!
