You probably need another dual switch. The brake switch in that dual assembly do go bad.....had many. If you have to adjust it past the factory settings...its probably bad. Take switch off....remove the screw and spacer to the two levers, and check brake switch.....S/B spring loaded and travel...

The 3L80 shifter....neutral switch hole needs no bushing.....the reverse switch does. If you use a neutral switch as a reverse switch....still needs a bushing. The 4L80e shifter uses an aluminum block to hold both switches.

Watch out using sub standard hardware....That Zorro nut is Grade A which is not even close to the proper grade 8 like the MS21245-L12 lock nut. That grade A nut is a jam nut w/o a locking feature. And the max torque is way less due to soft steel.
