    M116A2 camper

This what I have so far: a trailer and some inspiration!

    THANKS! Will do.

    M116A2 camper

M109A3 camper?? DONE! I assembled one for Airshows and overnight MVPA events, but I can't drive that for long distances. What I want is something easier to drive, park and drive!

    M116A2 camper

Indeed! I want it to be sort of centered on the axle to keep tongue weight down to a one man (with a bad hip) manageable level. Most of the teardrop designs I have seen have the axle at least 3/4 of the way back and that looks like it would make for a heavy tongue.

    M116A2 camper

I found this on the WWW, a little fancier than I need but it is in the right ballpark. The squared off ends sort of look like a HMMWV ambulance body to me. Still searching...

    M116A2 camper

Yep, I have been looking at them all day. All I really need is a weatherproof, insulated box to sleep in, I don't plan to park it too far away from a shower/toilet/kitchen... and if there is no kitchen near by I can eat my MRE cold! John Wayne style...

    M116A2 camper

I have a M116A2 trailer with a M101 box on it that I intend to convert to a pull behind camper for my M1009 (and whatever else:)), has anyone out there in SS land done this (and took photos)? I don't mean sliding in a S250 shelter, or building a plywood box in the bed, I mean scratch building a...

CDN M101/US M416 trailer cover install

I don't have the article, but it is pretty simple: make a bow that runs front to back (or side to side) that the tarp lays on top of that will hold it up and not allow it to fill with water. When I bought my trailer the previous owner had built a cover with plywood and 2x4s that his tarp laid...

2010 San Antonio Transportation Museum show

Keep in mind that the Temple Airsho is typically the first weekend in May.

2010 San Antonio Transportation Museum show

We had a pretty good turnout this year, despite the oppressive humidity! Four M35A2 (one "C" model), two M1009, two M38, two M100 trailers, two M416 trailers (one A1 model), and one each M151A2, M715, M38A1, M1010, MB, M274A5 and British Landrover Lightweight. There were enough burnt dogs, water...

Any Texas buyers of the Ft. Hood trailers this week? Tax question

THAT'S WHAT I THOUGHT! Other than paying too much will it hurt me? You think Travis County will try to collect from me too?

Any Texas buyers of the Ft. Hood trailers this week? Tax question

I bought a trailer off of Ft. Hood in the auction that ended this week (event 5414), the fourth vehicle I have purchased through GL in Texas, and I have a tax question. When did GL start collecting sales tax on vehicles? I am a Texas resident, and the goods are in Texas, so sales tax would be...

    "New" 1973 M35A2 w/M66

It does, you should see the 5ton next to the MAN truck! I was good to see you and the Mrs.Fuzzy out there at the show, they get even more enjoyable after the summer:)

It was good to finally meet you too! You have plenty of Deuce support in the area, we can help you get that overheat situation taken care of. 60 miles is a good first long trip, though the new member who drove his Deuce in from Las Vegas to the meeting takes the Iron Man award for the month!

    Clansman radios

I have a friend with a 126 that I covet:) I am hoping the UK 349 will be cool enough to satisfy my "need" for a 126... I am not worried about the Technician license, just have to get off my arse and do it. Once I have it I will submit my father's death certificate and get his call sign assigned...

    Clansman radios

Same here, half of my 350 cost was shipping! I have seen Alpha's stuff on there but have not dealt with them yet (thanks for the heads up). I had initially decided against the 351 because I have a PRC-77 but I don't think this stuff is ever going to be any cheaper than it is right now and...

    Clansman radios

I have a PRC-77 that I am using in my M1009 with a Mr.Haney 12v cig lighter adapter and a big green stick and I decided to get a British surplus Clansman RT-350 for a portable companion. I like the unit so far and am strongly considering adding a RT-349 and 351 to go along with it. My question...

I talked to Ed and he WILL be bringing the gun truck, and he will also bring a M2 cradle to see how well it works on your ring.
