    M1009 -- What do I have here?

And: the black star is the National Symbol, all US Army vehicles and trailers have that if they are painted properly. It is NOT an indication that a General used the vehicle...

    M1009 -- What do I have here?

Missing the lifting shackles, grill guard, bridge plate, pintle hook and trailer socket. The grill looks like it is either a modified K5 Civilian version or someone glued a chromed civi emblem on it, and added a chrome civi rear window crank. Other than the missing parts it looks good! What does...

    M1009 passenger seat cable

Nope, none of us. As far as I know our total M1009 roster in Lone Star is as follows: Sarge 1x, Rory 2x, Clint 2x, Me 1x, Charles 1x (tan), Andy 1x (residue) and you. Mark has a tan M1010, I am on the prowl for a M1008 and Red has a M887 (or M888, have not seen it), that is all the CUCV at the...

    M1009 passenger seat cable

We had four at the Lakeway Independence parade, what a sight! The M1009 is the only realistic choice for a daily driver MV and a great vehicle all around, I love mine. The "jeep club" is still the "jeep club", but the "jeep" has changed, it's now a M1009!

    Titling M105A2 in Texas.....

All trailers in Texas have to have plates and a yearly tax paid to operate them on the road, trailers with a GVW of 4000lb or more also have to be titled. Some of the rare exceptions would include farm use or former military trailers used for educational purposes. Mr McGrogan did not want any...

    Titling M105A2 in Texas.....

When I registered my M1009 the lady at the tax assessor's office balked at the VIN so I told her that it was parked right outside if she wanted to see it for herself. She looked out the window, contemplated the fact that it was 105 outside that day, and decided to go with what she had!

    Memorial Day fun...with a M35

Back left side? That holder is for convoy flags, Old Glory's place is at the right front of a vehicle per US Flag Code. The leading edge of a moving vehicle and the first thing you see when the vehicle passes, think of it as the flag flying in front of the vehicle instead of the vehicle flying...

Recovery? Lost...... or Stolen from Ft. Indiantown Gap PA.

Depends on what part of "Hooks" it's in. It appears that "Hooks" comprises of several lots, Hooks proper, Lone Star Ammunition Depot and a yard my M105A3 was in that was completely unmanned and remote from the others with no visible security other than a locked chain link gate. The GL staff did...

Recovery? Lost...... or Stolen from Ft. Indiantown Gap PA.

That happened at Ft.Sam Houston, San Antonio Texas. That lot is fairly secure, My two Deuces from there were completely devoid of goodies but I have no idea if there was EVER anything in them to begin with. My M1009 at Tinker lost the fire bottle and spare tire between photographing and...

1966 Johnson Furnace Co. M416, 1/4t off road capacity, used by the 49th Armored in Brownwood Texas, commonly towed behind the "Jeeps" (M38A1, M151 series) it's the only trailer authorized by the Army to be towed behind a M1009, that's what I use it for, the civvy 4x4 crowd loves them because you...
