sure did.
Thankfully I got that beast to start tonight, even with the slower starter.

ps, the 12v starter I put in is from a junkyard, might need to be rebuilt, who knows what its been through.
THE BEAST LIVES!!!!
I'm so happy I could cry.
I bled the fuel filter first. But I had pumped air into the IP first by trying to start it without bleeding it.
So after I bled the fuel filter I tried to start it some more, no luck (needed to bleed the IP)
So then I bled the IP lines and lit...
man, that video is depressing. It means my starter probably needs to be rebuilt, since my batteries are topped off and my starter doesn't really get that fast at all.

Thanks guys, it sounds like a handy device. I think I'll keep it.
Of course, the wiring I was talking about was probably just for the dash light, although still nice to have.

Its on pg 856 of the -20 TM near the middle bottom.
I've been tracing my ignition wiring and came across that, not knowing what it does. Do i need it?
Also,
A couple of the lines seem to just go to the fuse box and disappear. Am I right in assuming that they go to ground after the fuse box...
That stuff is sold everywhere, but that don't make it right.
I'd get some sulfur additive at the parts store and put it in the tank.
Or better yet, run some 5% or 20% biodiesel. "they" say that even 3% biodiesel puts twice as much lubricity into the fuel than even the sulfur diesel of...
Hey Guys,
A long time ago I installed a push-button start on my m1009. No problems with it, really. (I thought it was the problem at one point, but it turned out to be a dead battery).
Anyway, I went out today to bleed my injector lines and the thing wouldn't even click the starter relay. I've...
sounds like i have a heap of work to do on my fuel system.
I was able to get it to fire today:-D
Unfortunately, it wouldn't stay "lit".
It would rev really high and burn out. This happened twice.
I'm sure glad I got that battery charger.

Ah, so I loosen the the nut and let fuel leak out- and when its good and clear tighten the nut again. Is there some way to keep that thing from starting while my heads over it? I guess I could just not cycle the GPs for that job.
J
can you tell i'm diggin deep here?
how do you bleed a fuel injector?
The reason i ask is because i'm still having starting issues.
My batteries are topped off. the GPs are new and I manually activate them at the relay for about 6 sec. x 2 (short break in between). I bled the filter and saw...
yeah, the gasser trucks have a distinct pitch to them, but mines not anywhere close to that. I've got them charging now (I wonder if its ok to charge them in parallel?) So hopefully they'll start tonight. I wonder if I should get some ether.
