I have to correct something I stated in an earlier post in this thread:
"30 day temp plates can not be used for vehicles over 11,000 GVW."
I just looked at one and it actually states that a Texas Temp Plate can not be used on a commercial vehicle over one ton. Since the Deuce is not a...
Can't do it without the SF-97! I have driven my Deuces without registration while waiting for the SF-97, there IS a risk of getting in trouble though. I would NOT drive it with out insurance however.
My EUC went to BC about three weeks ago and was getting a bit anxious as my last one only took a week to go through, I found out what the holdup was today. Brandie sent me an email this morning stating the BC didn't like the scanned copy of my DL renewal. My DL expired on my birthday this year...
The 32s DO look good on that truck, I might do that when it's time to change my tires out. I'm glad you made it home in one piece! Show us a better pic of the tow bar, I may need one of those to tow the M1009 behind a Deuce.

I have not in over a year of sporadic Deuce driving. That said, a Deuce is an instantly recognized "Army truck", a CUCV looks like a civilian vehicle painted green (which it is), it looks like it SHOULD have plates on it. I do use my M1009 for a daily driver so it is registered as a Texas...
"shall be displayed in digits at least two inches high, in a design and location, which conforms with the vehicle's official military design and markings."
Like I said, inside the door is where the Army put the number on my M35A2 and that is where The State of Texas and County of Travis...
No, on a lot of the previous things mentioned in several posts.
Don't get FMV plates, use a marking already on the vehicle. Texas allows the FMV registration with any "military applied marking", does not have to be a bumper number, or the "USA" number, it can be ANY marking and it does not...
I drove a '77 Dodge Ramcharger for an entire summer with no top, not only was there not top on the truck, I did not own a top for it! I got caught in a couple of turdfloaters and do not want to repeat THAT, though the Dodge top was all the way off, to the windshield. I wish I still had that...
Did all 27 of the M105 trailers they listed look as good as the three they chose to photograph? I noticed they are playing the "representative photo" game again...
You can have all the extra lean brisket... Rudy's does smoke a good turkey, and they make some mean pecan pie! Chasin zombies for turkey, pecan pie and sweet tea sounds like paradise:)
