My M1009 had: a key in the ignition, an empty camo binder in the glove box, the inspection sheet that described why the truck was sent to DRMO for disposal, a jack, a jack handle (no spare or lug wrench) along with a flat tire, the bottom of a .50cal ammo can bolted to the fender well, three...
"Bubba" refers to any civilian modification to a military piece (not the person doing it). If you use military parts (multifuel engine, air assist) that is acceptable, those mods are something that a bored motorpool MIGHT do. Bobbed Deuces? Yep, BUBBA! Cucvfreak, what IS the difference between a...
That is what we in the milsurp firearms world refer to as a "bubba job". A sporterised military firearm is one that someone thought would be "better" after it was modified but what they have really done was taken an example of a historicaly correct piece of military equipment and turned it into...
I cut the back off my box seat so my hips can get closer to the back of the cab, not so much for gut room but for leg room, so I can get my size 13s at the end of long legs on the pedals without getting all tangled up. In addition to big feet and long legs I have a bum hip on my throttle leg...
Uh, but the buyer does not have to do the importing, they can just go to the lot and get it. Right now someone has to buy the "truck" in the US, put it on a ship and send it to the buyers country. And, at least for now, Hummers will still be made in the US.
The H3 is apparently not TOO bad, the highest placing American in the last Paris-Dakar rally was driving one in the stock class and he placed 5th. It's not a real Hummer but it apparently is not bad in it's size/weight class.
The news I saw last night on the subject stated that the Chinese want...
There is all sorts of rumor and conspiracy theory floating about on the subject of surplus HMMVWs, and one of them is that surplus HMMVWs on the open market will hurt the H2/H3 sales, which is complete BS of course.
I have heard several plausible reasons why the HMMVW will no go out on the...
I have run 75% WMO with 25% regular gasoline in my Deuce, filtered through a 5 micron sock filter, and it worked fine with no filter issues, I had to use some hand throttle to bring the idle up to 800, but otherwise no noticeable difference from on road diesel.
A centrifuge will get the WMO...
I have burned fresh MO in my Deuce, but not enough of it to notice any change in performance. If it were me I would do it, 50/50 mix with diesel should do fine, and because it is fresh that means no filtering! Diesel around here is $2.15 a gal so I have not wanted to mess with filtering WMO to...
That sure is some funny camo you have there, you do that or was it that way when you got it? Mine has some strangeness in the paint, I think those ILL Guard guys in the paint shop needed some better ventilation!
