All,
The Fort Snelling Military Museum is scheduled to be closed by the end of September 2011. All of the artifacts are being reallocated to several different museums across the country. But we're not going out without a bang. Below is information that I posted in an email to my work.
The...
Not to be a PITA but before you guys go out and spend a ton of money on new gadgets and reflectors to go on the back of your vehicles remember:
All of these add ons will not prevent a retard behind the wheel from hitting you
You're not supposed to take it so serious Kenny. Lighten up or I'll call poof and have him hide some of that cheese of his in your shop or deuce next time its around
50 is slow on state highways, only difference is rate of closure is 10 - 15 mph versus 20 - 25 mph (or more). I run my deuce at 55 - 58 mph all day long on the interstate and state roads to minimize the closure rate but you can't totally get rid of it.
That's an open ended question meaning that every engine is different. Mine has a wet spot on the back of the engine from up top that leaks so little that I don't notice a change in oil by the time I do the next oil change. Another engine my have weak rings and burn oil, you could have your turbo...
I ALWAYS drive with my lights on and use flashers if I have to pull over. Simple fact of the matter it doesn't matter how many lights/reflectors you add to a vehicle YOU CAN'T FIX STUPID (the driver in the other car).
There are more state patrol cars wrecked up here (and in other states I'm...
Let it run. Remember you can put a match out in a can of diesel and you will have no fire. Try that with a can of gas on the other hand and you'll be in the ER.
So you're comparing something that is an 8x8 based on new designs to a 6x6 from the 1950's design? Based on your comparison video of the Tatra trucks I would like to see what happened to whatever he was hauling in them going over terrain in that thing.....better yet do that with a full load on...
What are you running for fuel? Lots of threads on here asking questions about power loss only to find out that instead of running straight diesel people are talking about running all sorts of mixed stuff in their tank. Troubleshooting a diesel problem versus a mixed fuel problem is a whole...
Just be glad that the truck isn't newer with a computer controlled engine. If it were I would say scrap it. With it being as "simple" as it is follow Gimp's advice and you should be fine.
Don't know if you've done this but I would seriously look at all of the front end mounts to make sure that nothing broke based on your steer rim damage. Other posts on this site with similar off-roading adventures have found broken components even though the truck would drive away.
You will notice that LGM is in love with M35A3 and anyone who differs from his opinion is an idiot and doesn't know what they're talking about. I own an A2, been around A3's and am friends/work with mechanics who have worked on A3's since they first came into the service. Their response is...
