Thanks for the pic, but now that looks like something with golden retriever in it. This particular dog had ALL lab features, but the color of the coat was the only thing that threw me (I had never seen anything like it before).

They are indeed impressive, plowboy, but not so sure they qualify as off-grid. We still need to charge their batteries. Now if you want to really talk "off-grid" for a tool, I got one for you! Here it is:

I'm guessing that Winter is back, for this year anyway. I got two old hockey buddies who now live in Anchorage, one in-town and one outside the city, and they tell me the temperature there currently is mostly plain "nothing" (zero).

Yeah, trout really are NOT pond fish. What they love is moving, tumbling water, and they pick some of the prettiest water in the world to hang out in. THAT'S what makes trout fishing so much fun!

Is Edmonton on tidewater? Looks that way, but I admit I do not know Edmonton (or even MUCH of Canada, except that you all are "up" there and we-uns are "down" here)! And I'm guessing those are Canadas, right? But it is kind of dark, are they maybe Snow Geese, instead?

A witness to V-1 launches? Wow, that is something. Better to watch the launch than witness the touchdown, that's for sure. And those shackles make ANYTHING look small!!

Pheasant must be their cousins. Flushing one of them (in a non-hunting situation), will similarly scare the living daylights out of any unsuspecting body (almost put me into the old "fibrillation" one time). It's a good tactic!

Okay, so please tell me, plowboy, Where's Waldo?! Are you talking about the cottontail (or is that a hare), hanging out by the gatepost? I'm not thinking a hare would hold still that long.
