    Front and rear markings

WW The RSCs were redesignated as RRCs in mid 2003. The 350th Maint Co and the 63rd RRC are still located in Los Alamitos, CA. They are probably co-located at the same reserve center. The 350th was almost certainly the last Army (Reserve) owner/user of your truck. The truck was probably...

    Front and rear markings

The last unit that owned that truck was the 950th Maintenance Company (DS) from Los Alamitos, CA. This is a Direct Support (DS) maintenance Co assigned to the 63 RRC (Regional Readiness Command), formerly the 63RSC (Regional Support Command), also located in Los Alamitos. The 63rd RRC (formerly...

    Fuels

If the fuel density compensator on your engine has not been bypassed it should be just fine. If the compensator has been bypassed you can re-connect it.

    M35 Operating temp??

Normal temp should be in the 180-185 range. It should take a lot of hard work in warm weather to get the Deuce temp much over that.

fuel line for the lift pump

When I recently replaced the lift pump on my CUCV I replaced the hose with a length of stock fuel hose purchased from NAPA. Worked fine with no kinks.

    would this fit...?

A friend of mine just replaced the statndard pintle with one so he could tow ball hitch and lunete hitch trailers. He got his from Tractor Supply for less than the above price. His bolted right up to the CUCV bolt pattern.

    This GL auction is disgusting.

OK, I think that that you all missed the key phrase "term contract". The auction is for the scrap that they generate over a certain period of time. The photos they put in the bid solicitation are only representative pics of pretty birds still awaiting their fate. The aircraft that will be...

    Nozzle tester

Carl (last name escapes me) had one at Jim Thorp, PA, if he has'nt sold it yet he will probably have it at Aberdeen.

    Black out lights

The M880 blackouts should work fine, just change the connectors. Saturn Surplus should have them, I got them from Mark a while back.

    m1009 heated fuel filter ??

The diagnostic instrument is known as STE/ICE (pronounced as stay-ice) and stands for Simplified Test Equipment/Internal Combustion Engine. These sets were made to diagnose everything from early M series gas vehicles to Bradleys and Abrams. They can be used on early vehicles by using appropriate...

    Bumper markings/Army

Yep, makes sense, if they put the UIC on the bumper the 00064 probably is the AUEL sequence number. If the Truck was excessed out of Ft. Drum the MANG is most likely for the Massachussets Army National Gaurd. It is very unlikely that they would ship a truck from Montana all the way to the East...

    Bumper markings/Army

It sure would be a good guess that the two blocks of numbers at the center of the bumper were applied for the trip home. They do not appear to be as faded as the unit numbers. I am actually supprised that they even brought a Deuce back from Kuait. I'm sure that it cost more to ship it back...

    Bumper markings/Army

TACMED, WTX4AA on the bumper IS the UIC, Unit Identification Code, and remains constant for the life of the unit. The AA at the end indicates a parent level unit, ie. BN HQ. WTX4T0, if it existed, would indicate a subordinate element, for example a forward deployed company or a section capable...

    Bumper markings/Army

Low-Tech, MANG379E WTX4AA 00064 CSE 501 is not a Reserve unit truck. The MANG indicates National Guard. If you know the truck came from Montana then it is "Montana Army National Guard". 379E could be unit of assignment. The WTX4AA is the UIC, Unit Identification Code, this one is an Army...

    Bumper markings/Army

I can add some here. Can't help Frank much, that scheme does not look familiar to me dosen't look like Reserve or NG markings. M1075's however is very familiar. Low-Tech is right about the 90th RRC. The reserves changed the name of their regional commands from Regional Support Commands...

    STE test set

emmado is correct, 13 digits, not 14. Sometimes the national/origin code (00 or 01 for US) is left out, but I have never seen a 14 digit NSN.

    Ok guys. Need help

I have had the same problem with one of mine. I have been told by one of the real experts to add brake fluid to the master cylinder. They have a tendancy to lose fluid unnoticed, unless you have a major failure and blow the fluid out all at once. If the brakes have been pumped with low fluid...
