good always smart idea to keep up on your trucks. and have extra parts !!! i know have one alt in each truck and one good starter sitting at home and the tools in both trucks to do simple repairs

work over the past 2 weeks on both trucks cleaning and getting ready for the summer M1009 -new fuel filter -new air cleaner replaced / fix windshield wiper motor and arm (still have problem with the pump) changed charge system back to 24 volt hooked up both alts new belts P/s pump ,alt...

just so were clear the left alt has the post i can switch the 2 connect it and it should work with out problem .....i thought there was a diff between alts ....

yes i changed the starter that's the hole reason for changing it all back because the 12v starter broke .... can i run it with just one alt for a bit ...obliviously its not gonna charge both battery's but its better then nothing

keith i think that the alts may have been switched looking at them ....but how are they running a isolated ground on the driver side alt ?
