I finally got around to replacing the O ring last week. I thought I would be smart and try to do it without removing the valve. It was way too much work. I did just take it off, and it was easy after that.

What are the advantages to either the stock generator and the new/smaller alternator? Size, endurance, cost??? Are you talking about adding an Alternator, or replacing the stock?

Has anyone ever dyno'ed either of these engines? You can quote whatever you want for output. In auto engines, I have seen output off by a big percentage, both too low and too high. I would bet there is not as much difference and we are led to beleive. Or not... I just cant get my head around...
