My first look and some additional pics of Cape Coastie's truck
Here are some of my pictures. #2 is what it looked like when I first saw the truck. No engine or transmission. Removed eng/trans from a M936. Still a work in progress needing the completion of my Bahr paint job and other mods. I...
Installed a NOS bridge plate, thanks to the Evil Dr. Porkchop. Modified it just a little to prevent or slow down at least honest thieves from taking the numbers. I figured if I could prevent the top "C" locking plate from moving up you can't take the numbers. Made a small bracket and put a small...
My 1984 M923 doing towing duty
Here is my M923 pulling a car out during the last snow storm. Didn't even need to use any throttle to yank him out. Have a cargo cover now.
Welcome Fury from Cape Cod, MA. I always thought the 944 were pretty cool and being a mechanic it would make a great mobile mechanic shop truck. Imagine showing up to do a on site oil change in that truck! Good luck on your search.:driver:
Another welcome from Massachusetts Pete. Cape Cod this time. That is a great looking truck. Hope you have plenty of time to enjoy it. Have fun.:driver:

Flynavy, that is a mighty fine looking truck you have yourself there. Enjoy it as I really enjoy mine, just happens to be a 5 ton. Even drove it to work today to exercise it. :driver:
You don't have the flasher tab on your turn signal lever? Mine has one on the original lever but it took me a little while to figure out how it works. My truck is a 1984 so it is pretty early.
I have won a set of 4 torque rods, dogbones, for 5 ton that are located in the GL facility in Lockbourne, OH. They are about 40" long by 10" by 10". Approximately 125 lbs total in 4 boxes. They need shipped to Sandwich (residential)or East Falmouth (business address) MA. Zips are 02563 and...
