then dont....
You are saying I should spend 15-20 minutes trying to salvage a thread that has a bunch of crappy posts in it?
Ask the simple question... post the pictures... dont speak of where they came from.
Pretty simple isnt it?
The original post was ok. I twas the junk after. And it was the 3rd thread I had to delete on it.
Posting pictures from a GL auction and asking questions based on said pictures is fine. Just dont say its from GL!!!
Ummm Westy.... you better have the wifey back off those meds you are on!!
Drivers side is Alt 1.
core... do yourself a favor. Just buy one from www.odiron.com (or just have your current one rebuilt)
Looking at the above pic... you might want to put something rigid between the 2x4's so they cant slide either way as you lift.
When I took mine off.. me & my bro picked it off and carried it away. Its not hard to do at all with 2 people.
Honestly guys... I would NOT buy one from Autozone, or the likes. You can get one at NAPA, but it will cost you. I know its handy to get them local, but they are usually 'junk'.
Mike at OD Iron carries them, and even has a high output one if you were to choose...
Wallew... here is what I would do...
If you want a spare alternator... Buy 1 from Mike at ODI. Have your current 2 rebuilt, and take the Auto-junk one back. Yes, and autozone one will fit in a pinch... but you will probably have to replace it in a year (just went through this on the wifes...
I have one of these... and one of these days I will be smart enough to take it in the deuce with me!!
I would consider it reasonably safe for in cab use, and should get the edge off for you. I have driven my deuce in pretty cold temps... my biggest problem is defrosting the windshield...
