It has done this ever since I got it. It also will not shift passed 3rd on its own so I'm hoping if I can get my 2200 rpms it may start shifting properly. I don't want to go throwing shift modulators and doing full fluid replacements until I get this corrected.
My m925a2 does the same thing sometimes it will flash for about 25-30 minutes then goes solid. Then some times the hwy and xc lights will stay solid. But it works really well and fills the tires really quick.
Ok so my 925a2 will only hit 2000 rpm even when I manually move the fuel lever on the IP.
I know that they are governed but I dont know where that is at. Could there just be a weak spring in the governer?
Rolling coal is wasted fuel and not a form of making power you should only have a little bit of smoke that's the sign of a well tuned Diesel engine.
Why hy would you want it to blow smoke? If you want it to smoke you can rap a rag around your air filter and you'll get smoke
Update
UPDATE:
I manually move the throttle lever on the injection pump and had soldier B watch the gauge and it still only hit 2000 rpms at full throttle is there a way to adjust this to gain the few hundred more rpms that I need? Is there a bad spring in the governor?
well I've been told that my shift modulator has gone bad and needs replaced and I heard that setting the shift points are a nightmare and is recommended to have an Allison dealer do it.
I'm pretty sure I'm counting 5 gear changes I confirmed this by start in 1-3 then moving to 1-4 then 1-5. I...
My 925a2 will not shift by its self past 3rd gear. I have to let off the throttle to get it to shift past 3rd gear. When I finally get it in to 5th it won't go over 45 mph and no it's not in 6 wheel drive. My rpms never seem to go over 2k but I know it should go to 2200 rpm.
The fluid seems to...
No no I did not try that. It has 3 vents I would have to plug to do that anyway, and I do not have an extra fuel cap to put a shradder valve in to be able to pressurize the tank. Maybe I could use one of the vent lines though.
I had the local hose company replace all the rubber hoses with the correct rubber hoses that where removed the only thing that was not replaced was the hard line coming from the tank.
Yes the fuel solenoid is energizing, stret of fact it's working so well it burnt the heck out of my arm while I was trying to remove the fuel line from the hand primer.
Yes i I did try with the the fuel cap open.
After er every time it dies I check my air bleeder on top of my primary fuel...
Ok so I've been trying to figure this out and I'm finally throwing up the white flag and asking for help.
My 925a2 was running fine it sat for 3-4 weeks and lost it's prime I've replaced all the rubber fuel lines already.
so I tried to prime it back up over the weekend and boom it fired right...
Your front tandem is the best place to have a locker, you really don't want your front axle locked. The rears are your best place to have lockers. There's not much weight on the rear tandems so they will be the most prone to slippage. Having a locker in the front will make it almost impossible...
I'll be going to delta PA this weekend to drop off some f550 axles and coming back with a m939 hood.
If anyone needs anything picked up in PA and brought back to Ohio OR brought to PA please let me know I'll have a 18' car hauler on the back if my 1-ton cummins, just let me know I'll be able...
I dont know if this means anything but I have my trucks parked in my yard next to me barn and maybe move them once a month on average and they don't sink in to the ground; rain, snow, hail, flooding. My 813a1 has the 16.00s and the m939s have the 14.00s the wrecker is in the barn.
Have you tried eBay? Having to get parts from overseas may be worth having the truck tho. But I'm very sure that most of the parts you will be able to find here at local truck parts stores. Certain parts like hard parts; axles, engine, trans, transfer case, ctis controller, ect. You may have to get...
The shims are just standard 6 bolt pto shims you can get them at any parts store that deals with pto's I got mine at car quest. They are about .20 thick so grab 4 just incase. I used 2 for mine making it a total of .40 thousands of an inch not sure on the crushed thickness but anywhere between...
