For what it's worth I've only had one type of experience with Slime and tire balance bad. It's only intended to coat the inside of the tire to get pinhole leaks for LOW SPEED tires. I put a half gallon in each tire of my DTC 8606 forklift because the beads leaks from sitting with the tires...
I would say depends on how far you plan to haul the logs. I only have to haul mine a short distance and can't justify a 900 series and modifications. I use my good old M51a2 running on filtered wmo and load it in the woods with my 8606 forklift. The roads around me a narrow hilly parts of the...
Ditto with a 5 ton, buried my M51a2 in a muddy field once. I couldn't budge it with my International Loadstar 2000 6X4 from the road or my back hoe. I finally drove it out 2 months later in June after it dried out.
I've had good experiences with Kreem from JC Whitney. I did my first on my 580 Case backhoe, after pressure washing as best as I could, I put about 5 pounds of pea gravel in it and bungee corded it to the center of my Cub tractor and mowed the front field. It came out amazingly clean and I did...
Sadly too many think all military surplus is made of unobtainium, but it couldn't hurt to ask him. I don't have any idea how I would haul something like that home, even though I do have an unused M54a2.
I'll probably get hollered at, but I always use either high nickle antiseize or blue locktight on everything. In my humble opinion blue locktight works on clean lugbolts because it seals the threads and prevents corrosion. I've not lost a single lugnut on my M-37 even with the flat seats for...
Looks good to me, what's the story on the drivetrain? Mine came from a rural firedept. and was basically stock but they did terible things to the wiring. I wish I could find a hard top like that for mine but so far no joy. I think they are the coolest of trucks.2cents That's my story and I'm...
As far as logging out, I rarely do that anymore because I have so much trouble logging back on. I have no idea if it's me, my computer or something with the site but I don't figure it matters if I stay logged on except for my statis being wrong. I like to pop in frequently and if I have...
The way I count the teeth is to mark the pinion gear on one tooth and count them as you rotate the drive shaft and count. Ther is just enough room to the the teeth on the pinion. Ring gears and pinions are also stamped from the factory with the # of teeth.
I have been using a stainless steel (316 alloy) in side terminals with blue thread locker for years. This allows you to screw the stud to the very bottom and the contact will be just as much as without thread locker(area of thread contact). When I had my old International dump truck it also...
All you need is a couple of those little battery maintainers to solve the problem. My M51A2 is always hot and ready now when I need it to crank. Best money I ever spent. I put a recptical through the back of my tool shed to make it easy to plug in.
