I understand that the Humvee is built to 1/4 inch tolerances. One item 1/4 short, the other 1/4 long, it could add to 1/2 inch. Maybe that is what you are seeing. Usually things can be "adjusted" to make things work.
I'm about to purchase the same top. Please keep the updates coming.
The well nuts holding the intake stack bracket to the windshield frame are 1/2 inch OD , 1/4x20 thread. You can get them at some hardware stores or online. Don't know if the side rail well nuts are the same.
I noticed that the Midwest website indicates it does not come with installation...
Since your problems (stalling) happen when you are off road, I suspect that you have significant dirt in your tank. As you agitate the sediment in the tank going over rocks, it blocks the fuel pickup and the engine dies. Once stalled, the dirt falls away from pickup and you can start again.
I'd...
"2009" M1123 from Yermo.
Making good progress going through the new truck. Changed oil/filter, replaced broken mirrors, reinstalled CDR valve. Interestingly, someone added a short hose in lieu of the CDR valve. Maybe this is a CA requirement - no open crankcase emissions.
I do have a question...
Yes, the Red Dot evaporator is still connected both power and A/C lines. Believe the grommets are for the drain hoses. I'll be removing the evaporator and all hoses/wires but plan on leaving the compressor so the belt routing/length does not change.
Thank you. I assume it is both 12/24V since I have the dual voltage alternator. I'll leave it alone until I figure out any additional power needs I might have in the future.
Going through my newly acquired 1123, I found a heavy duty cable coming out of the center console next to the dog house. The connector has 4 female sockets and there is a center nut to fasten the connector to the target device. Anybody know what this was connected to? Power supply to the radio...
I went for a 2-seat 1123 out of Yermo with 7k miles after a 2009 rebuild (below $12k). Shown as running and driving but pretty stripped (no tailgate, windshields, roof, doors but with red dot AC components). Other more complete trucks went for $20-30k.
During bidding, I missed that the stinger...
Your symptoms are consistent with air in the fuel supply. You also mentioned a fuel leak. That is where air could enter the fuel supply. I'd fix that and change the fuel filter. Read up on how to bleed the fuel system.
If you have any 12V loads, the best approach is to use a dual bank 12V marine charger (about $100-150). This ensures both batteries are fully charged. Not necessarily the case if you connect a 24V charger.
If your truck is in Yermo, CA, GovPlanet charges the CA sales tax. However, the sales tax is refunded if your truck is moved outside CA via commercial transport. Need a bill of lading. Pays for some of the transport costs.
Need your help again!
Here is a picture of the truck I bought at a recent auction (M1123). There are four bolts (upper left corner of pic) on the transmission support bracket
that are not attached to anything. Is there a cross brace missing or did underbody armor go there? What is supposed to...
Thanks, that is just what I was looking for. The lack of opening windows in the doors are a downside. I guess one could drive without the doors in the summer. Does the rear curtain roll up with the two small hard windows?
