I just grease a piece of scrap plywood, slide them off and roll out of the way. Reassembly is reversed.
A little messy but you're gonna get greasy dirty anyhow.2cents
I have an M35a2 with the LD-465-1C (nonturbo). The FDC is not bypassed. It does have a manifold heater. This truck smokes like a freight train. It has less power than my other deuce with an LDT-465-1D which does not smoke hardly at all. I've read the TM's and searched other threads. Would...
I had same problem. Bought a piece of scrap 3/4 thick plate and fabbed my own. I cut it large enough to capture the Ubolts AND the locator tab. 1/2" will do but the 3/4 was on top of the pile.
Measure thrice, drill once.[thumbzup]
Don't forget to grind a relief grove for the axel tube weld
Also plan to flip the hubs and single out. I like the price and availability of the 9x20 ND tires so I'll be sticking with them. Chains are only a small inconvenience to me in winter.

So I got a few with my cellphone. The quality may not be so great and some were taken at dusk. This is my 77? Kaiser. I used the 53 Frue M105 frame and suspension. In one pic you can see the bed in the back of my Deuce. I plan to do some painting before I mount the bed. Any...
Welcome fellow hillbilly:) I've found the majority here have A2's but there is a lot of A3knowledge here also.
BTW, STUDY THE TM'S. It's worth the read.
Own, license, insure and DRIVE a 67 AM/GEN and a 77 KAISER. Apparently the WANT ONE is not there.
Spent all I can afford for now but hopefully someone can grab it up. 2cents
Just looking to use what I got. Bought a 5 ton parts truck. I have a M105 to chop and rob. I guess that's the way to go. Thanks for the info. I will soon have the 5 ton axles and other parafinalia
(where's the spell check?) that won't fit my deuces for sale. Will be a short sale before...
The LDS just needs some work to bring it up to speed. It does not run and hasn't in I believe a good while. The LDT was running till the IP went south. I don't have the time or facilities (work outside) to fool with an engine swap at this time. Maybe next summer. BTW can replacement IP heads...
OK I've read till my eyes are crossed. Maybe I missed it because my eyes crossed. I have an LDT with a bad IP. I bought a M39 5 ton with a LDS in it for parts. Short and sweet If possible, can I put the LDS IP on my LDT without problems? The LDS's condition will not allow for a total engine...
