Hi Chevy, The crane sure comes in useful, at some point I am going to pull the king post and remove the stops so I can rotate 360º. It will lift a half ton at 16 feet 6 inches radius. The bed is just the right length to load my Supacat on too. Dave G

As for Mike Pop's comment on Mogs and mud, the Chinese have overcome this problem as you will see Mogs there with duallies front and back. I would guess that they would then pretty well float with all that air.

For the benefit of the guys on ss. The Russians seem to have an answer to a lot of stuff we use, this is their answer to the Supacat - the Vityaz MDT 2,5, fully amphibious and Cummins 180 bhp engine through a 5 speed Allison box. They are also like a wheeled version of the Hagglunds BV206.
