This is something I've been wondering too so I just Googled it and found this https://www.thetruckersreport.com/truckingindustryforum/threads/04-379-pete-deciphering-the-switches-on-the-back-of-the-speedo.162567/ If you try it first let me know what you figured out and I'll do the same.
The numbers are on the blade side of the relay. 30 is the top one and 87 is the bottom one. The electrical schematics are near the end of the TM m1078_TM 9-2320-365-20-2 . They're a bit intimidating at first but well worth the time to learn how to read them.
To clarify.... to start the truck...
I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not but if you read it why did you ask the question again? If you're expecting an engineer from S&S to chime in I think you'll be disappointed.
I cut the top channels off my 1078 frame. There's a thread in here somewhere discussing it and the conclusion was that the top channels are there for the box and not for the truck. Expect more twist without them obviously. I personally think airbags would be too much extra work for what you...
This is what I had to do when I had issues with my starting circuit. Remove the K1 Starter Relay, turn the main switch on and check for 24volts at terminal 30. If you have 24 volts you can jump 30 to 87 and it should start the truck. Doing this bypasses all the other relays in the starting...
Hey guys... I'm working on the gear change right now and it's going great except this last part on the front. What's the trick to removing it? I tried knocking it around with a wood block and hammer but it's not moving. Bigger hammer?
I could see them not getting it right the first time because "ride like a BMW" is open to interpretation but if you're saying they wouldn't work with you to make it right then that's a problem. I assume they're rebuildable so new valving shouldn't be that big of a deal.
I'm guessing it's the 3 on the left side of the power distribution panel. I know the top one is part of the starting circuit but I'm not sure about the other two. I attached the PDF page from (m1078_TM 9-2320-365-20-1) page 1653.
Welcome... You can run 2 batteries at 24 volts with the stock setup. No modification necessary. The wiring diagram is on the inside of the battery cover.
