I've done some instrument panel mods. I installed a hand brake warning light. I have all the parts but am unsure how to put the switch on the handle assembly. I've looked through the TM's with no luck. Anyone have a picture of how it goes in and/or the TM reference ?
I don't want to mount it...
OK, I've got the pyro and boost gauges in and need to setup the lighting for the instruments. I have a 24 to 12v converter to use for the pyro power and for an accessory outlet. I want the instrument lights to work with the master lighting switch !
So, I understand that I need to wire the...
Well I did the upgrade. My thoughts:
1. Would I do it again ............. YES
2. Road speed is now 55mph vs. 47mph at 2100 rpm
3. Ride is smoother just a little more bounce to it. I'll play with tire pressures.
4. Did a speedometer adapter change to compensate for the difference and the...
Well about a month ago I was searching the web and found someone that makes a plate that fits between the bumper and front fender filling in the gap on winch trucks that is strong enough to stand on. The other day I took a little slip and banged my bum and now want something to fill the hole...
M35A2, I'm looking for the 90 degree elbow for the outside intake and some of the ducting. Anybody know of a source. I've checked the normal suppliers of parts, no luck.
Ideas ?
I'm thinking about doing some mods to my panel. I would like to install a pyro and boost gauge in line with the 3 lower gauges by either cutting out the lower portion of the panel and installing a plate with 5 2 inch instrument holes cut in and evenly spaced for a clean look. In addition, add...
So I'm considering the change and am wondering if these rims offer any advantages/disadvantages over the HEMMIT rims that have been converted. I'm planning on flipping the rear hubs so all the rims can be the same.
What about a spare. Just have a tire and do a change on the truck or have a...
I know that there are adapters for the 11-20's to correct the speedometer at the transfer case. What about going with the 395/85r20's, does an adapter exist for those?
I am considering the super single setup and would like an accurate speedometer. I don't want to go the GPS route if I don't...
I've searched other posts and need help.
I have no power running to the connectors on the air pressure switch. When I jump the two connectors with the 3 post light switch in brake or lights position the brake lights do not work, no power to the connectors. The brake lights where working and...
So, i've read about doing the hub flip. I'm very interested in doing this. Is there anything special about using the stock rims? Do they, front and back rims, go on like before just with bigger tires ?
I know that you can use the 395's upto 46" diameter. Are there any military non...
The primary fuel filter I took out fit the center rod nicely. The replacement is much larger with cork on both ends ?
The filter flops around inside the retainer because the opening is soo much bigger. Its a wix 33511. Is this correct ? Do I flip the brass support on the bottom of the...
Well my oil pressure runs at 28 when going down the highway with the motor at normal operating temp. I know that you can make adjustments to increase pressure just can't find it in the manuals.
Any other ideas?
I've tried adjusting the generator (60 amp DC reversable Mil-G-46785E(AT)
ord #10929?68 with no luck. It just stays at 24.5 volts. I went through the TM and the adjustment procedure no luck so it looks like according to the TM a replacement .
Its a 1971 AMG M35A2 LDT 465 Whistler so who's...
Well I joined the club of M35A2 owners. I'll pay and pick it up on Friday. Now the real fun begins. Hopefully the 60 mile drive home will be ok. I'll have a chase car and tools just in case. The short drive I did it ran and stopped very well.
I hope my wife hasn't called the men in the...
I'm looking at getting my first duece. I'm looking at a 1971 M35A2 AMG with the whislter turbo and front winch. Seems to run well, shift well, brake well etc. The exterior has the typical light rust and poor desert paint. Tires are about 50%.
What manuals do you recommend for viewing to...
