I've got a m813 I bought for parts. However its in great shape and runs well, just having a hard time convincing myself to starts pulling parts off of it.
Other than different part numbers what is the difference? Is a m939 air compressor backwards compatible? I've seen some listings say it only fits m939 truck, while others are listed as fitting both.
I can’t speak of the mep 803, but can tell you the holes from a mep002a do not line up with the mep003a. Mep003a has a longer skid, would have to redrill two of them.
I picked one up on ebay, 10t block for 5/8 line off ebay last month, nos , 150 with free shipping. Was best deal I could fine. They are heavy gotta be at least 50lbs
Wife had them cut down, left them about 4' tall. Just have to cut the trees up that are on the ground, dug stumps with backhoe. She kept saying she wanted it done right!

As others have said the hydraulic hoses would be at the top of my to do list. Every time I replaced a hose, another would let go. A blown hose can shoot a good 15' or better. (ask me how I know) You will need 1 3/8, 1 1/2, 1 5/8 wrenches for you hose fittings. Congrats on the m816!
They don't need them in Egypt either, that said ever one is stating what is required for their state. Call your commercial division at the DMV and ask them. They the (DOT) will be the ones enforcing it on the side of the road.
I managed to get the plugs to free up but I didn't have a pump with me at the time to get the gear oil in the housings. I was just hoping there was an easier way to fIll the gear boxes as it is a pita to get to it. Wcuhillbilly i'd be curious to know how your conversion works out, please...
