I realized that, I was just showing another option since somebody else said they dont make the pillar pod. Same principal can be used on the CUCV for the steering column but obviously a smaller one would be more appropriate.
You dont mess around! Looks great! It took me weeks to get my bob job done in between working overtime and chasing kids around. Do you just use the regular size tubes and flaps that a 14-20 uses?
This is my set up. I bought the bigger box, they have about 5 different sizes. I plan on adding a 12v cigarette lighter socket to the side of it. The little switch is for the guage lights and th LED is to remind me its on since its on a manually operated switch, I sometimes forget to turn it off.
I think Friday morning would be best for me. I'll be leaving the wife behind with a brand new baby so it would be pushing my luck if I asked for 3 nights away.
Another option is to get the little project boxes from radio shack and cut the holes in them. I just used one for my duece for boost/pyro, looks much cleaner than my old set up and only cost $7.00. Got the idea from Ida34, Thanks! I'll post pics in the morning if you'd like.
About 8 years ago I went to a big rig truck show/ big rig drag race and the fastest truck there was an old POS cab over with an 8V92 Detroit in it. It was ugly but fast and revved higher than I ever heard a diesel rev before. I think it will be a cool swap.
My FDC is also bypassed and I have run a 50/50 mix of diesel and ATF as well as used motor oil mixed with gas, new motor oil, old bad gas, acetone, and a little R/C fuel thrown in the mix. Has not affected performance one bit.
Mike, today is the first I had heard you moved away, sorry to hear that. At least now you can go play with DMA251 and his monster of a truck. We will be sure to put a few coldies back in your honor and take lots of pics, I was looking forward to playing with your mule :( .
Welcome Thovis! Was that you at the Sant Clarita 4th of July parade with your family in the Jeep? I had the 2 axle M35A2 if you remember seeing it. Your vehicle will be fine and more than likely go more places than the big trucks. I brought my motorhome and Blazer on the last trip so I could...
They are a must. I tried like heck last week for 45 minutes trying to break a bead with a sledgehammer and even driving my M1009 on the tire and could not pop the bead. I was trying it for "fun" to see if I could break down a wheel and quickly gave up.
Sorry, I have searched the site and googled multiple terms to see if you can burn boiled linseed oil in a diesel. I got ahold of a few gallons and was wondering if anybody has thrown any in the fuel tank mixed with diesel?
