The issue mount for the 939 series SUCKS...... it will rattle itself to death quickly. I had 15+ of them when I was in the Army. Best thing to do is bolt the mount to the front of the passenger seat with the controls facing up.
the "extra wire thing" is a load of crap. They are all the same, they all burn/catch fire/melt. Not worth it. I talked to the manufacturer one day, there is no "1st version/2nd version. I had one until it almost melted my wiring harness..
All,
I have done a search, I am looking for pics of "what to do" for the how to put the valve in the valve stem to separate the tire from the M939A2 CITS system so the tires don't go flat. Im not interested in the kits I can buy. I need the "low cost way" to do it to help someone out...
Paint color doesn't indicate anything. We had M998's come thru brand new green or camo, and once they hit the motorpool, it got sent off to the MSB's paint shop so it matched the rest of the fleet.
Forget the MPG difference. Every mile you drive at highway speed is less life on the cover. Unless you need the cover, dont use it, unless you like to buy covers.
UOC.... Who needs to pay attention to that... They are all the same.... :)
I also enjoyed when soldiers didn't read/understand the quantity of issue... 1 ea isn't the same as 1hd
We had a mechanic who needed 100 bolts. But the quantity of issue was 1hd. He got a talking to...
Is the standard Offset Antenna Kit. You put the bracket on so the antennna didn't hit the canvas, but they hit anyway... Sorry for the long link, but it is the best picture I could find of it...
