    M149A2 Recovery From Camp Lejeune

M149A2 landing gear Wanted to post a photo of the landing gear on my water buffalo trailer which was a big plus for me considering the condition of the ones on my other trailers. Love to find more of these for my other trailers! When I went to retrieve the trailer it was in amongst a lot of...

    M149A2 Recovery From Camp Lejeune

Nice M149A2 I have three Water Buffalos in various stages of disassembly (see my posts on the M149A2 today). Yours is absolutely beautiful! I am just amazed that any branch of the military is getting rid of water biffalos in the shape yours is in. I got my first two from a GSA auction and...

    More info wanted, M149

A few more of the trailer. The last one with the square water tank on the trailer was taken over at the Christmas Florida location prior to retrieval. One of the nicest things on this trailer was the landing gear - once I flip the lunette I should be able to hook this up to my M1008A1 without...

RUPPSTER!!! Yeah I know! I have the photos in my hard drive but cannot upload them because of the slowdown in my ISP. I need to call AT&T to find out what is wrong. I am getting ready to drop Bellsouth and Dish Network because both are lousey! I did however work on the newly acquired...

Craig's List M149A2 find in Christmas Florida Yes it was "Christmas in July" when I went over to pick up my latest addition to the Water Buffalo family! I also found a place in Florida where I would truly enjoy relocating to. Christmas Florida is a very small town with a Post Office that gets...

(pics add)U.S. G.I. Light Weight Expandable Maintenance Tent

I just took the time to read through this thread and was happy to see that someone had actually assembled an LME without a crew of 12 soldiers! The one I bought from the GL auction at Eglin is still in the crate and will stay there until after hurricane season. I was thinking about renting one...

Faucet Covers This is what I have to work with..... lots of rust, especially on the ones from the M149 trailer which are basically scrap metal at this point. I an make the ones I have painted green work but need to bead blast them big time. If anyone knows where to find suitable...

New Manifold Valve Just got my new valve from and Ebay seller. This is just amazing to find one of these! Now I need new buckets (faucet covers) and I'll be all set to put this thing back together. I also need one replacement faucet which should be like looking for a needle in a haystack. I...

    My cucv lift

That's just AMAZING! I really like the look of your truck after lifting. There are so many different companies and so many different ways to lift a truck. I just have to look over all of the threads on the subject and go from there. My main concern would be the H1 tires rubbing on the inside...

    Some pictures of my 1008

Really a nice truck! I am still procrastinating over the type of lift kit to use for my 12-bolt H1 rims. Another member (BigCASE) recommended a minimum of a 6" lift because of articulation when off-roading. Now I need to check into the best manufacturer for the kit along with the spacers...

    STE ICE question

I also have one of these that came complete with a sealed TM and all of the parts that looked like they had never been used. I could not get mine to work because it kept giving me error readings when I tried to enter the type of vehicle I was using it on; in my case it as an M1008A1 CUCV. I...

    New seat in my M1008A1

I have a LONG way to go with this truck! Next upgrade will be the lift kit, spacers and H1 tires & rims. I have to get ready for the oil spill that I know will wind up over on the eastern shore of Florida. I would need wide floatation tires to drive on the beach in the event I would get...

Here's the manifold valve out of my M149A2 before and after cleaning. Not much to these things except for O-Rings when it comes to replacement parts. With the help of my shop cat, Dewalt drill with wire brush and a bench grinder with a fine wire wheel I managed to clean this up pretty nice...

    New seat in my M1008A1

Thanks to "Big CASE" I now have a great replacement seat for my CUCV. Although the seat cover is not original it looks pretty nice in my truck and matches the dashboard pretty well. This seat came out of another M1008 and was covered with an aftermarket seat cover which is much easier to clean...

    Show us your Military Trailers

Forgot to mention that the cover you see over the cab of the truck is one of those "half tents" that I bought from my buddy "Big Case". These things are great for cab covers! This is only one-half of the full pup tent. My weatherstripping leaks pretty bad and the sun is unbearable at times...

M149a2 Still working on this one! I took the photo with my digital camera which was in the house maintained at 70 degrees - outside it was in the 90's with lots of humidity so the lense was a little foggy when I took the photo.

Still working on both trailers - using the brown trailer (M149) to provide parts for the green (M149A2) trailer. I bought new rubber hoses for the manifold pipes but have to work on the faucet covers and faucets before reassembly. I ordered new reflectors all the way around today from and Ebay...

Chenged glow plugs in my MEP002a today

What a job! I managed to change out both plugs without removing the intake manifold but it took a lot of patience and the right tools to pull it off. Once I freed the plugs I worked them in and out while shooting PB Blaster on the threads. The way I got the left-hand plug out was through the...
