I have a FMTV and I think a FF left the lights on, can I charge the batteries connected or disconnect and charge each one? I only have two 12 volt chargers that do 2, 10 or 50 amp
Thanks....always something :-)
Went back to Lebanon yesterday to pic up more stuff for our department and got lucky to pick up an aluminum 500 gallon water tank for the back of the FMTV. Its my understanding that the MO Department of Conservation has given out about 50 FMTV's to local fire departments in the last 4 months.
Guys silly question and excuse me if this is the wrong placeto post but I am looking for 1 of these but I might buy extras like 10 or so. Any sources to find this part would be appreciated.

I am waiting for new pictures but a neighboring town made theirs into a tanker truck for the fire dept. I understand it has a baffled 1000 gallon tank mounted on the truck. 8,400 pounds of water is a bit over the 2.5 ton rating for the FMTV...lol
Just got our m1780 and it all works perfect except the CTIS. It has all red lights on all of the time. What is my first steps to check? I did check pressure on the tires and they are all at 60 psi.
The departments I have talked to love the trucks but are trying to figure out the nuances lol. When we picked up ours there were 6 other ones waiting for pickup here in SW MO
Thanks guys keep the info coming please....we go to pick it up tomorrow. Yippee I will post pics...nothing like getting a free truck for our small department.
This is what the conservation dept is giving out to fire departments now. Just got to figure out how to best configure it.....work is they are top heavy and don't put more than 500 gallons. Which is 4000lbs
We pick up our truck on Friday, any thoughts on how top heavy they are and how many gallons of water weight it can hold? Concerned about roll over. Anyone do a project like this?
