I'm actually in middle of bobbing a 923, and did a few photo shops of different wheel bases to get rough idea of look. I think on your 931 you could leave frame full length, get a 923 driveshaft to push axle back and be set, sliding bed forward or not is really up to you on looks.
M931...
Looking good man, where did you get that radio housing? I plan on doing some sound deadening mat then maybe headliner and that radio setup would look great.
well I did find 2 22.5x12.25 stud pilot wheels to go on truck, still hunting for 2-3 more but currently sitting at home with one **** of a cold so wont be updating much for awhile. i had just got my bobber springs too !
I currently have the rear crossmember unbolted, all wiring labeled and...
lol Yeah I'm not looking for 20mpg while pulling a camper or anything lol just saying it should pick up few mpg after lopping off all that weight and driveline mass
the mpg is something I have been wondering, just got my springs and hangers today to do swap (thanks John!) I'm guessing the gain would be a good 2-3 mpg considering you are losing the drag of the axle along with weight of the axle, part of the frame,4 tires (in my case since its duals) and the...
ahh yeah i can make it out now, do you think it would be worth while to split the return also? so there would be supply and return at each end? I cannot wait to do this mod along with little fuel adjustment .... then onto the turbo
only thing i am confused on is which port is the fuel inlet on heads... you say bottom post on front head but in pics of rear head its kinda hard to tell.
not just dual pumps you can keep 1 stock pump and put a fuel line into each end.

patracy is correct that the higher HP rating motors had the dual feed from factory
Happy B-day! I have been checking in on your thread but had nothing useful to post, love the work your putting into storage (I plan to fill every corner I can with lockable weather resistant storage)
I had talked about this in a 923 turbo thread and no one knew what i was talking about  I'm going to tackle this project before adding a turbo or even driving my truck again, I cant see a reason not to ( basically free HP, less egt spikes from cyl to cyl, smoother idle, better mpg) . I...
I like the overall length , just need to get another set of mudflaps for the rear. I also like the 395's on it they are a very good size for these trucks.
as everyone else has said excellent work! I would never look at that and think it started life as a standard style truck instead of cab forward. For the light protection how about plate steel surround that bolts to your armor then a expanded steel insert, as long as mesh was fairly large open it...
I dont think you could get any type of sprung seat (air or coil) to fit over the box and not hit your head on roof, a more comfortable standard seat might help and fit over the box or you could do what i plan which is move batteries to the storage box in passenger step and mount 3 standard air...
I had pretty much same questions when I joined (you can look up threads I started and read through them if you want) what I gathered is the 8.3 is smoother motor so starts easier, less noise etc, its almost as powerful but it works harder to pull the weight around so mpgs are nearly same. I also...
