I use a higher ratio when its warm (around 70% WMO) but when its cold you definantly want more diesel in there. otherwise starting is a PITA. the biggest problem i see running higher ratios of WMO is the strain it puts on yor IP.
A member here had to replace his HH recently after a 600 mile...
I picked up my deuce from a group of guys who used to run it down at butte. Ill be taking it to quamado at the end of the month for a little fishing trip.
So what if you actually are running old diesel? (which ive done) Also in new mexico you are allowed to mix WMO into diesel. just not in 2007 or later vehicles. (federal law)
and after speaking wih my local DOT officers i was told as long as its not offroad fuel. they really didnt care. you...
So whats the law regarding how much of your fuel can be an additive? Even small amounts of used motor oil will turn your fuel black. I realize they are specificly looking for the red, but what would they say if it was black?
Not to mention there are much better options out there. Pretty much general consensus. "yes you could run it" but it would be the absolute last/have no other option choice of fuel available.
although i did find an article saying it was found in fuel oil. and fuel oil is listed as an emergency...
Well.....not without a heated tank. http://www.greasecar.com/forums/grease-board/whats-the-strangest-oil-youve-burned-update
or in small ammounts, thinned out with kero or diesel. (that i have tried)
M715 the stuff at the plant was that the light oil or the heavy stuff? does the light oil crud up like the heavy stuff? I know WMO cruds up as well when it burns (lots of carbon) would the creosote be similar or worse? Thanks for the useful info.
