Just won my second hmmwv, it took 2 months the first time for my EUC to clear, and I was happy with that. EVRYTHING in the government takes forever, I have realistic expectations about the time. Everyone says its less time, if you have had a EUC clear within the year. Lets do this!
The early 94 hummer used the same wiper arm and blade as the hmmwv. All we did was drill out the rivet that held the wiper attachment on, and then we were able to attach the 12 inch hummer blade.
What I did in my hmmwv was to put dynamat down, then I went to a Marine store and purchased 1 inch thick diesal boat engine compartment insulation, and under the hood I got the dynamat for under hood. Now I can have a conversation, talk on the phone etc, and I believe it all cost about $550...
Storage armreast
Just built this as an armrest and storage inside the truck. Came in handy tailgating at the Dolphins game on Sunday, with my son. Its great as an armrest in the back and for the front too. My 10yr old named it the Mobil Man Cave.
You being in SA, with all the bases there, you should be able to find a mechanic on active duty that could help you out. I would call the base and ask for the number to motor-t, and then ask anyone that answers the phone, if anyone in the shop who is a HMMWV mechanic is looking for extra $...
Needed something to keep my stuff from rolling around, I was not going to pay $600 for a HUMMER one. Plus makes a nice arm rest for the backseats. She is my daily driver. Which my wife so loves, when I pull it out of the garage at 5:30 am to go to the gym, and it shakes the house.
You are lucky, my wife HATES my HMMWV and I have done a lot of work to it, AC, new bucket seats, 80% of the noise is gone etc. she was in it once, and said it was the worst ridding and noisiest vehicle she has ever been in! LOl, she would of hated the ones I was in when I was in the Marines...
Yup, that was me, I been there 5 times this week, hot mess with a plumbing issue under the kitchen sink. Seems like every time I fix something, some thing else needs top be fixed.
I drilled the holes in the spacers wider, so I could put the bolts through them, yes I used the spacers. I only used # 16, was going to mount # 20, but I was getting pissed at the difference in the holes. So me and my employees made the decision that that was more than sufficient to mount the...
I just drilled mine to have the ability to put the bolts through, I only used the outside mounts, that is more than sufficient to mount the bumper to, plus since my buddy sold his chopper, I guess I don't have to worry about him, lifting my HMMWV!!! lol
Modified troop seats in a 4 man.
here you go, this is what I did, just cut and welded it, I park the truck out front of my shop, helps with marketing my business too,
Hope this helps.
