    picked up a 12k 24v warn industrial winch, new.

    24v CUCV Starter

    went to the truck today at work and put the key in, all electrics came on volt meter is good but no joy on the crank. Nothing happend at all, Im guessing its the starter as I did the dog head a year ago when i got it.

    im putting the winch within the front bumper to protect it. Cut out a hole for the fairlead etc. Picking up new rear bumper saturday hopefully, its one from an m1008. Than if tings go as planned rhino lined on tues afternoon. Assuming all my body work is done on the floor panels by then.

    Im doing a rear bumper first then I will get a winch for it. Same guy is cutting a spot for a winch, I wasnt sure at time of making it which winch I would get. But I have it down now to a Warn vr12000.

    M1008 bumper on a M1009??

    i have seen it but dont know if it was a direct fit. I dont se why it would not be, only thing that comes to mind is that your shackle mounting bars would be to short. I had a custom bumper for my 09 done and had to get an extra set of bars and cut and weld to make them long enough

    Any idea of where a guy can pick one of these up? Or is the only option to buy a new volrmeter and if yes to the new volt meter any suggestions guys on where to buy a new one? I have googled and checked cucvelectric to no avail. thanks for the assistance gents

    I have heard about the volt meter resistor before and looked for it on the back where everyone mentions it is located. I have also removed my entire dash and cluster to do bulbs on two m1009's and not seen anything except the actual voltmeter and the little bracket that holds it in. Am I...

    ok after cleaning everything up gen one and gen two lights no longer flash red or come on during driving but volt meter goes into red about fifteen seconds after start up. any thoughts?

    just because you dont see any fuel leaks does not mean it is not loosing its prime. Had this issues and ended up switching to a racor spin on fuel base and all new fuel lines and no issues anymore.

    Ok so went into Autozone this morning and they tested both alts for me, guy had no idea what an isolated ground alt was. But hooked it up, both passes using the large positive and negative stud, but when he hook it up to the isolated ground FAIL Is this normal? Is there some better way to test...

    replacing those vac lines makes a world of difference and if you ever need to putting in a new trans vac modulator is just as easy and cheap!
