Has anybody made or found a 24v tow light?

Exactly what I did, as well.

HanksDeuce: 8" Lift, Bobbed, External Cage, A/C and more Project!

So your total is less than $75k, then. :D

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Yep, 3.5". My bad. But I really don't think the multifuel engine flows enough (air or fuel) to justify a 5" exhaust. If you turn up the fuel enough to where you're that worried about EGTs, you're probably gonna be burning up pistons. But hey... you be you. [thumbzup]

HanksDeuce: 8" Lift, Bobbed, External Cage, A/C and more Project!

Ok... I have to ask. Are you keeping a tally of the money you have invested in this thing??

What did you do to your deuce this week?

My thoughts exactly. Very true. Something like a 900-series tip might serve the purpose. My full-size truck needs a new tip anyway because it rusted out, so it's good to explore options. Gotta keep mama happy!! I'm considering using the bobber as a tow vehicle for a 32' RV camper, so some...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Since I'm going to be tearing apart the exhaust anyway (and adding 395s), I'm seriously thinking of moving it to the back of the cab and adding a muffler and a rain cap. That should solve all the exhaust issues. I don't want to dump it out the bottom because I don't want to lose any fording depth.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Yep, that's what I found, too. Anybody have any idea what the bend radius is on these things? There would really be no point in that. The turbo outlet is only 3" and you're only pushing 130HP so a big exhaust would only be a bigger rain catcher. Plus it might get in the way of the tire.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Yeah, best price I found on a pipe is $150 plus shipping. I can pick up a couple 3" elbows and weld it up WAY cheaper than that.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Fixed the hole in the radiator on my bobber... and as soon as I fired it up to verify the repair, discovered a HUGE hole in the j-pipe. It never ends...

    Bobber Rear Axle Problem

Then that tells me somebody figured out that running without pins wasn't a good idea and they fixed it in later models. :)

    Bobber Rear Axle Problem

Good to know. Are those early trucks equipped with Rockwell axles? But I have to say, anybody who would bob a '54 deuce should probably be flogged. :p

    It's all good. Post 4020. :)

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Straightening the fins won't fix the holes in the tubes. ;-)

    Nevermind. :-D

    What size battery in deuce

Correct. They are a tight fit in a plastic battery box but they do fit. I had to turn the screws around on one of my boxes so that the head was inside the box and the exposed threads were on the outside.

    What size battery in deuce

But group 31 commercial truck ones will fit and work fine. Tractor supply has them with 3/8-16 screw post terminals for around $100 with an 18 month warranty (as opposed to around $250 with no warranty for 6TL). http://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/exide-heavy-duty-farm-battery-31xhd
