Considering what it would cost you to build an equivalent truck it is still a good price!
Just compare it to what $11K to $13K will buy you in an "everyday ordinary" pick-up truck.
I know that I've spent many more $$ for a much lesser vehicle!!
What did YOUR "every day car" cost??
With only...
I saw that too! (It popped up on the SS "teaser" window!)
I figured that it was just a picture swap error, & that the ACTUAL truck is probably something comepletely different.
"Caveat emptor"
I AGREE that we all need to remember that these are 13000lb vehicles.
GOOD POINT! :-D
I'm thankful that this SS site is here to better educate owners on the proper care & use of these vehicles.
This helps to keep the roads safe for everyone!!
(Unfortunately we can't expect to reach...
Wow "Speddmon"!
Were we having a bad day when you 1st responded?!?
Too much caffeine that day?!?
Let ME be the 1st to say, "Give him a break!".
After all, his SS-ID IS "DeuceNewbie", so it is completely understandable that he might not be 100% comfortable with the search function, or...
Yeah I did notice that the Deuce stalled a bit at the far end of the pool & then later shot a bit of steam out of the exhaust stack!
I figure it must have "swallowed" a little of the water during the swim!
"WOW!" Sounds like that was a close call!!
You were lucky!!
I think most of us have a close call story or two that we could share.
I'm sometimes simply AMAZED that I somehow survived my youth!
SOMEONE must have been watching out for me, cuz I did a lot of things that should have had me...

Yes, you are correct!
True "Split Rims" are different & are MUCH MORE DANGEROUS!
Many tire shops won't even touch these anymore, so probably best to use the correct terminology if you are calling around to find a tire shop to mount a tire on your "multi piece rim"!! Otherwise you might get a...
THANKS for the explanation!
Typically whenever I open the drain petcock valves on my '71 M35A2's air tanks the inside tank expels some moisture, while the outside tank just blows air. NOW I understand why!
My '52 GMC XM211 also has dual air tanks, & unfortunately the inside tank has a stuck...
Unless I was planning on mounting a new tire I'd just mask it (using a very sturdy mask material), blast it (avoiding the rubber), and repaint it.
Every time you dismount a tire you risk damaging the tire. Especially with an older tire that is less flexible. & Especially if you have never...
What do you mean??
Ignore the whining? (gearbox or tires)
Ignore the screaming? (C-Turbo)
Keep it because you've spent a lot of money on it and can't afford to get rid of it & acquire another one?
Drive it once every month or two? (& maybe on your birthday, anniversary, & New...
As long as it is MT-1 and a suitable viscosity you should be OK.
IF you are losing sleep over it just drain it & put GL-1 or MT-1 in there.
Capacity is only 7quarts. Not a big deal.
"When in Doubt, Drain it Out!"
GL-1 is CHEAP at Napa....
