Sometimes not having enough fluid in the trans will prevent it from shifting also. But like someone already said, the rebuilds for these trans are pretty cheap.
Thata's what I figured that the stock horn from the factory was 12 volt not 24. AJM, I think some guys need some educating over here also as to the volt system of a M series truck.
TYPE F is mopar trans fluid. Dexron/Mercon is the trans fluid for GM (DEXRON) and FORD(MERCON). They are usually sold as one type for both brands if you buy aftermarket from any parts house other than the dealer. TYPE F is DODGE/CHRYSLER. I have never heard of any guys using that TYPE F out...
