M1009. I removed the motor due to an issue with the block. It ran perfect.
I bought a long block. I was told it had 9x000 miles on it and was running fine when removed.
I inspected the bottom end, made sure everything went around like it should and felt like it should. Everything seems fine...
I removed the drivers side alternator and want to get rid of the mount.
Unfortunately part of it supports the power steering pump.
I cannot find the power steering pump mount for a single alternator 6.2 liter. Any ides..or part numbers?
I've searched using key words and cannot find the specifics I am looking for. I looked in all the TMs also.
I am sure I've missed something along the way, but I am wasting time chasing my tail.
That being said, here's the issue:
I am replacing my engine with a new to me 6.2 out of another M1009...
I've read several threads regarding swaps.
I need to replace my OEM J code in my M1009.
I can get a C code engine for hundreds less than a J code. These engines are are listed as a replacement for a 1990 truck.
If I understand it correctly, I can drop the C code in with no modifications?
Thanks.
(I looked at the TM's and didn't find anything specific for my problem.)
The front drivers side brake started dragging and heated up until I could smell it.
I wasn't to far from the house so I let it cool down and then drove it home. It did not drag on the way home and I did use the brakes a few...
I checked all the wiring and voltages as instructed in the TM. I read many alternator threads including the sticky.
I initially found the diode trio was bad and they indeed tested bad on the bench.
I replaced the voltage regulator, diode trio and rectifier. The brushes are good and the winding...
I didn't buy it. I got my leak fixed and found that my radiator won't hold up for a good rodding, so I will run it until it gives out.
The radiators I listed are for the K5 Diesel, however, I believe they are aluminum and plastic, although one review said all metal. I don't believe that for...
I searching for a radiator now and thought I would add to the info here.
As of 10-6-15 Ebay has the radiator for about $150 with $47 shipping.
1-800 Padiators in Baton Rouge has it for $215.
Rock Auto, who I use to price match Advance has it listed for $147.
I did use the part number (APDI...
Just picked up the truck today and noticed a leak coming from under the dash, along the right kick panel when it rained.
What gasket would need replacement?
Items for rally
Tim, I can't make it. Have to work. If I get any interest here I can drop off the needed item Friday or maybe have Mike bring it this weekend. The kids are bummed, but I can't get out of work.
I had a nice post that didn't post, so here's the meat and potatos.
Complete, new in...
Thanks for the link.
Sure would be nice to find a straight answer.
I do not know what the three digit discriptions
mean.
We all have our own knowledge sets. Mine is not tire nomenclature.
