I was told the same thing about putting 14.00 on my bobbed duece. I didn't find that to be to bad. A little under powered but I kinda dig that. I got bikes if I want to go way to fast. 168 mph, yep I got a speed problem. So it's nice driving things that make you slow down. It's good for your...
I bought the truck off a guy that had bought it off the Chester NH fire department a few weeks prior to selling it to me. The truck says tanker 2 on the door so I'm assuming it had a tanker body. This thing is super clean. No rust except on the battery boxes.
This should be a easy project. She...
I bought this truck back in November. My plan is to bring it back to OD paint (behr house paint) and stock bed.(vintage iron hooked me up with that) and bolt 1600s on HEMTT rims. (I got 7 rims and 2 tires need 5 more tires). This truck will look completely different late this spring.
I contacted the fire dept that sold it in October to the guy I bought it off in November. They are looking around for any info they have that might help. So for now I'm just keeping my fingers crossed till they call back.
They did tell me it wasn't sold as a parts truck.
Wow!!! And then for the last act you must jump thru 3 flaming hoops blind folded on a tricycle. Drum roll please...
thank you for the info. I geuss my best shot would be to call the seller. He never registered the truck but he bought it off a fire dept auction. Maybe the fire dept has records...
I went to my town office yesterday to register my 1972 M-813 and I was told I needed a title for it cause it was 3 axles with a GVW over 18000 lbs.
Has anyone else run into this in NH?
I register my bobbed deuce two axles under 18000 lbs so this is all new to me.
I was thinking its NH and older...
I have a long history in extreme rock crawling and mud trucks. You have nothing to worry about. You won't brake a Dana 60 with a locker unless you plan on running 40" boggers.
as far as what to run for a locker, well you get what you pay for. E-lockers and air locker are the best cause you...
I've never seen them up here.
I'm a Forman of a bridge deck repair crew. We use rapid set concrete products and hand mix in an 18 cf mixer off the back of a 53' trailer. We have an 8 hr window to excavate the effected areas with 60 lb jack hammers and pour in order to have them open to traffic...
My bobbed m-35a2 on 14.00 wasn't that good in the snow either. It was unstoppable in the mud, but not snow.
I love big snow storms. They help us know what you need and what you don't. So peaceful when everything around you is shut down. It's like you turned back time 100 yrs.
anyone else feel...
