I am wondering about the universal kit from speedway
here is the description
Master Cylinder Booster Combo, Natural/Zinc, 1.125 in. Bore, 7.0 in. Diameter Booster, Kit
for that kinda money you could hire master fabricators to build you one from stainless steel with surgical precision tolerances
i dont trust charities
they have a fantastic track record of lining organizers pockets
while a fraction of 1% actually does some good
bought my ambulance and the po installed the 318
but the e brake handle and connecting rod is missing
the brake itself is still there
the t-case levers are mounted on a big metal plate that is part of the conversion
does the e brake lever go on the same big bolt that the t case levers are on...
I have flushed all fuids including gas tank.
Gone over the brakes
Adjusted steering
Hit all the grease zircs
Installed heater,new carburetor
Sealed the windshield gaps as well as the doors
New tires
Waiting for wheel seals and then will repack the bearings
I want to install 481 gears so that it will be a little faster.
I have enough torque and power thanks to the 318
I will never use the first gear as it is now
It's not like I am going to take this antique rock crawling.
But I do want a dual master cylinder and maybe a booster.
Just trying to...
My spinal arthritis keeps me from being able to get under the truck and pull the tt case etc to replace seals and such
I have done it before but this dang disease don't get better as time goes by.
I am going to have to (gasp) pay someone to do work that I was perfectly capable of doing ten years ago
The first thing I thought of when I got my m43 was it would make a cool camper.
course I won't spend many many thousands of dollars on it like some people have done.
but I have to get sii trust it before I lift a finger camper mod wise
it looks like it may have been an air force ambulance
when I removed the inner door panel it's air force blue inside
then after that I have found fire engine red
the trans tunnel is butchered
and in keeping with the family tradition of being lazy slobs when it comes to sheet metal
i covered the massive hole with gorilla tape
i had to do something to keep water out of the tranny
as soon as i can afford it i am buying 5 gallon bucket of gear oil and one...
Somewhere I saw a cross reference chart for bearings and seals for our beloved
m37/43s
but for the life of me I don't know where it is.
can any of you cool cats help me out?
I am down to only having to bleed the brakes and pack the bearings and I will start driving my ambulance every day.
