Awesome truck, if you are still thinking about wider tires 425/65/22.5 steers off cement trucks come in at around 43" so should be pretty easy to match for rear tire height using 22.5 rims all around
Yeah I wish i would have spent little more time looking it over, I know the fluid can tell you alot about condition if it feels like has grit to it or smells burnt or looks to have water etc.
looking at a 923 and states "drove onto lot" and that was all info given, so i drove to check truck out and guy casually goes "yeah runs good but no reverse i think its the linkage". My thing is I dont want to get one of these trucks just to need a massive trans swap, is it entirely possible he...
from what i have read none of the m939 trucks can have hubs flipped due to the design of the hub for the air brakes VS the air over hydraulic m800 series.
i do not know if you could put hydr. hubs onto the air brake axles and still get everything to work.
in pic the one on left is hydr. and...
nice part of a supercharger is you can size the pulley to get the rpm band you want, if you never plan to exceed 2500 rpm you can size pulleys so supercharger runs out of speed @ 2500. If the supercharger is a pretty good size unit and is made to support a 7L motor @ 6000 rpm then with right...
that or twist driveshafts off, on a light 4x4 on soft ground you can get away with it. i have seen some mud trucks run taller front tires so they are spinning faster to "pull" truck through mud, but on something this heavy or that you run on rd's no way breakage and also tire wear if it doesnt...
An h pipe should help a bit with bottom end power and will actually make truck slightly quieter than no H pipe since each cylinders exhaust will be routed through 2 mufflers not just one, it does take some of the lumpy idle sound out of the pipes also. I had a 6.2 all stock except for 2.5...
correct, about the larger tires in snow with a little exception. If they were the exact same tires and only difference was height you would be correct, I simply meant about the speed is I reduce my speed in the winter months anyhow so the smaller diameter of tires (and loss of few mph top end)...
I really like the look of the 395 goodyears on there also look wider than they really are when compared to the michelins of same size or any of the 14.00-16.00's.
one question for you guys running the Hemtt rims, with the combat rims I know the front and rear tires track close to same width on...
I have never personally used this but I know alot of modelers that do, if you use acrylic paint and want to clear it rather cheaply pledge floor finish with future shine is actually clear acrylic and contains no wax so it sprays easy.
jcappeljr - I have looked at some of your trucks nice stuff just little north of my starter budget lol
F18hornetM - I have been to ocean city few times and yes pretty far away but still not bad few hrs, I looked at the 800 series trucks but the auto and abs are two things i like on the 900...
If you stop liking it suddenly and just feel like giving it away call me lol I'm wanting one so bad I can taste diesel. I keep going to buy a m923 then hold off hope to find m923a2 I just think the 8.3 seems like better idea for me VS the 14L. I will admit to everyone I plan on doing a bobber...
sorry no I sold axles to friend before I ever got the calipers on, i can give you part # and info on the rotors. I had a local machine shop open up the inside hole on rotor to fit over hub and then drilled hub from backside and threaded holes to bolt rotor on.

# of Bolt...
Man you guys are really getting my hopes up for actually seeing few more MV guys, around my area there is one guy with a couple mv jeeps and a deuce but I never seem to catch him just see him going by when i'm headed somewhere or working lol
I hope I can help you out here a bit.
5th gear in your manual shouldnt be 1.00 it should be .77 so your rpm math works like this.
60mph - 6.17 gears - .77 5th od - 43 OD tires (11.00r20) = 2277 rpm
60mph - 6.17 gears - .77 5th od - 46 OD tires (395/85r20)= 2082 rpm
60mph - 6.17 gears -...
yeah I kept the 2 batts but re-wired them parallel instead of in series, then just replaced starter and disabled one alt (left it in place so if one failed i could re hook other)and took out resister to glow plugs. I thought it was little more useful down the rd if you ever need a jump or jump...
