It would be like trying to burn tar. It would cost more to heat it to a high enough temp just to get it through a gardenhose rath than to get it through a diesel fuel system. A costly waste of time for vehicle use I would think
What about those dog leashes with the spring loaded rope. You can hook them to the ring where the cargo strap hooks on and you would be good to go. You could add as many as you need for the number of kid you are hauling. Don't forget to use the boarding lader with the hand rail for exiting...
I just go to the local Dmv and register it as a nontitled trailer and list the weight a 4000lbs Haven't had any trouble with them. They changed in the last couple years for historic plates also You no longer have to go to Trenton to get them. I've been using the Springfield Office. They...
It's called common sense. Drive them like your license depends on their safe operation. The rules were in the driving manual that hopefully you studied before you took your driving test. If you need a refresher course in safe handleing, go back to school.
Looks like threaded material to me. Like the previous poster stated, See if they are magnetic. If they are, it could have been a bolt that got misplaced or dropped during a previous rebuild. No telling what damage it has caused until you start tearing the engine down. There is a good chanch you...
How about some air wiper motors for deuce/fivetons? Rebuild kits for airpacks and wheel cylinder kits ,copper washers for the fitting on the backof wheel cylinders(new) and electical plug ends (male and female)
I own the Guntruck Untouchable. To me it is a piece of history. It honors men who went into harms way to safeguard the lives of other truckers. I bought a wrecker because I operated one when I was in the Army. I bought a deuce because it was my first MV and it was cool to have in the driveway...
If you have a change of heart, I'm in for twenty bucks as well. I have three five tons and they are my prized posesions. You will always be loking for your truck I only hope it finds it's way back to you.:grd:
nf6x, I sure like the way you think, The bees will come back time and time again because there is honey and wax still in the truck. They will eventually clean every bit of it out of the truck. I just hope you get some one reliable to film your exploits for the enjoyment of the rest of us. I am...
I use Conlon Skelly but I am not sure they are taking new business. They are located in MapleShade NJ. It runs me less than three hindred bucks for three five tons and a civi roll back and a jeep. I checked JC taylor but they were more expensive. Try C/Skelly just to be sure for yourself...
My budjet doesn't justify 6/800 for hard tops any day. I would rather sell /swap for even. But that is just me. Where some of these guys are going with their prices is rediculous these days. Its supposed to be a hobby.
We recently removed the davit from the back of the Untouchable. It could be used to hoist some of the more corpulent vets, by rigging the hook in the back side of one's belt. It is a Harbor freight machine with hydraulic pump and a crank up winch. I'm bretty sure we could of got a couple guys...
Wow, I can't believe that Bjorn would sell the crain truck. Now he will have to change his Avatar. What's next? The world is shaken, At least we can look forward to new threads on new projects from him.:(
I have been staring at my toys ever since I got my first deuce. Just standing on the porch staring at it in the yard. I couldn't believe I would ever see something so beautiful in my own yard. Let alone actually own it. Now my collection has grown to five tons and more of them. Life as we...
Hey driverman, Isn't Michigan the land of trucks with multiple axels and tires running the whole length of the trucks, trailers? I would have thought they must have the most restrictive laws in the country. Glad you made it home safely.
Gas prices will hurt every aspect of our hobby this year and for years to come. Fortunately we all live close enough to our favorite MV shows/ swapmeets to attend and hopefully help the vendors. We need the vendors as well as they need us. Keep the hobby growing. Support all the shows you...
