I am finally able to work on my truck outside and not in a garage where I had to hide from management because car repair = bad at my last place.
I believe i have found my issue. The rear brake/turn signal wires leading into the fuse box from the engine bay appear to be caked with mud and...
Finally underway and it BARELY fits. Rotated the fender down on the trailer, there were some bracket looking things sticking up still so aired down the front tire so it doesn’t puncture when it went over them.
Pretty sure the surge brakes on the trailer barely work. Only engage when I’m about...
Not sure if this is even the right forum but here goes:
I am relocating from California to Texas in a few months. My M1009 is a little too wide to fit the standard uHaul car carrier trailer. I have my M1009 set up to be flat towed with the medium tow bar. It’s registration is due around the...
Thanks for the detailed post.
I see now I forgot to mention... up until a few months ago everything worked correctly.
Then I played around in some mud.
Now I have this issue
Have beat myself up looking for some kind of damage/corrosion on the underside, coming up empty so far.

Switched both flashers for new ones.
Issue still exists without changes.

Noticed there is another topic describing almost the same problem as me, but in case its not the same cause, here we go:
Signalling Right flashes front and rear right signals. Braking does not affect the flashing.
Signalling Left flashes left signal on front but both signals on rear...
I'm a city boy, probably dont even need to use headlights on most nights everythings so lit up, except that it would get me pulled over.
Having illumination issuess offroad on m1009, missing trail markers, turns. Just want to see if this is good or if i need to go light bar
Can anyone show a pic of what the illumination looks like from the drivers seat at night? Low and high beam?
I saw the picture on the box but am hoping for a better view.
We just put a lightbar on my wife's truck I want to compare it to that
I kept original master cylinder. I did not have any issues between it and the 1 ton axles.
Also went with Cadillac disks for the rear. Did not get a proportioning valve.
I don't know what the disk vs drum difference feels like. Did not drive it with the drums just swapped straight to disk...
I did this repair 3 times on my 1009.
First two times I got a rebuilt hydroboost. The piston that the brake pedal push rod pushes in was plastic(not sure on the technical name for this). It failed within a week both times.
The third time a got a new one and the piston was metal. No more...
Recently finished a swap to 1 ton axles on my m1009.
My rear shaft-axle "stock" u joint is a 3R-1350 conversion joint. Drove me crazy until i got it right. I must have 3 other u joints in the wrong size laying around.
By your description it sounds like what you may have.
I've seen all the topics on this but my connector looks different.
What do I need to convert it to the 4 pin flat connector?
Thanks
