A quick license plate mod is to buy gm pn 15634432 bracket from your dealer and install it behind the drivers side tail light. Bracket is about $13. And gives a factory look and if the lense under the light is still clear the plate will even be lit. The hardware to mount the plate can be bought...

You should have no problem pulling that trailer. I towed my 5000lb camper trailer back from Indiana to Tacoma Wa and again on vacation to the four corners area in arizona and back. Had no problems towing but gas mileage suffered by more than half.
Thanks, it is all I needed was another project, but it is very cool and handy! I have the lights and all I need is to get the rest of the stuff. The only improvement I will make is to make the height adjustable for working under vehicles or over them.:grd:
