Yes for the most part.
I have heard of a few that didn't but it sounded like they had been repaired in the service & for one reason or another it didn't get put back in.

If that was directed at me, I'm very familiar with the 205, 4 out of 5 of my cucv trucks have them.
I meant in this thread about how to spot an m1008 or m1028 ?
Yes the a1 has it but I think they are more rare than the a2 & a3's.
Probably the the fastest way to identify an m1028 is...
No problem.
Depending on what your plans are for the truck, it might not really matter.
Example I have an m1028 that I lifted & replaced rear springs with lift springs.
Now the factory over loads are useless.
I could have done the same thing with an m1008.
Majority of the m1028's are still single rear wheel.
Just because it has duals on the rear doesn't mean it's an m1028.
I have seen m1008's converted to duals by the service.
3 easiest ways to tell are
1 rear over loads
2 vin #
3 nsn #

The crossmember won't tighten up your frame unless the rivets in your stock one have become loose.

Loose steering box at frame
Worn rag joint
Cracked frame behind steer box
Worn steering box
Worn drag link ends & or tie rod ends
Loose hub...

Thanks for posting.

Are you talking about the rear output bushing area ?
There is a small plug that is different between 2wd & 4wd trans.
Its for fluid access to the output bushing.
The 2wd version has a hole for fluid to pass thru, 4wd one hole is plugged.
If not please explain.
I have crossover, hi steer & hydro assist (hi steer & hydro not installed yet) just not seeing it (sway bar) having enough room in there to not come into contact with something.
Post pics when you get a chance.
Thanks for the refresher, I did already know about most of what you posted.
Had forgotten about the 94 (last of rod linkage).
I have 8-10 of the 4l80's ranging in years from 91-01, even have a couple of the 91 only 4l80/205's.
Truck in my sig, got a complete 97 350/4l80 swap, used a 2wd 4l80...
