Yes, I can live with having to manually reseting the fuel cut off, at least for now.
Best I can tell to replace the return spring, I'll have to tear into the IP.
I need (now) the 2 aluminum levers that clamp to the throttle shaft & shut down shaft.
A key for one of the shafts, and a ball stud...
Ive been searching & unfortunately that looks like one of my options.
Not cheap & used parts.
EDIT: None of the used ips on eBay have the parts I need. AUGH !!!
Yes, I do need both of the aluminum arms that clamp to the IP shafts, return spring (internal) & ball/socket that goes on the end of the throttle cable.

Obviously it's an "internal" spring, can it be replaced easily or is it done when IP is rebuilt ?

I have a recently acquired an m936a2 with the 8.3.
Electric fuel shutoff is working like it should.
My question is, what causes the fuel shutoff lever return to open ?
I can start my truck, let it run for a short time, & shut it down.
When I try to restart it I have to turn batt power on...
Wanted to say thanks to this post.
Just picked up hose & o-rings.
Spent just under $30 for enough hose to replace all 8 hoses & they threw in the o-rings for free.
Now to go install it.
When I did my m916, I did NOT separate them.
Machine shop had no problems turning them as an assembly.
I did take them a wheel to measure for clearance.
To answer your question, I believe the wheel studs are pressed in & hold them together. It's been awhile since I did them.
